INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT

As we are management students we are supposed to have good communication and negotiation skills, which is required in everyday life and in business to deal with customers, media, competitors, suppliers and government agencies etc.. The research is on finding out the Table Tennis Bat which is best in price and quality. The factor which motivated us to do this research on Table Tennis Bat is enhancement of Negotiation skills and practical experience. The following are the factors which are important while negotiating:

Communication skills

Language Discipline Politeness

Frustration level Convincing power

Tone of voice Maintaining relationship for long term Dealing with situation, etc.

This research work includes all of the above factors which will help to achieve the objective of this report EFFECTIVELY and EFFICIENTLY.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

The objective is to find out the best price of the Table Tennis Bat. We have to purchase the 10 sets of Table Tennis Bat for VESIMSR. For getting the best price of Table Tennis Bat, we have decided to visit different shops according to the location of each group members. We have considered following points for research work.

The points are as follows: Brand Non-Brand Warranty/Guarantee Life of bat Offer price Negotiable Price Accessories with Bat Future orders

With the help of these points we can decide that which brand will be best in price, life and for future orders as well. On the basis of which we can make the suitable recommendation.

DATA COLLECTION PROCESS

According to the objectives of research, group members visited the shops which deal in Table Tennis Bat. The location was decided on the residential status of the members. Thus on the basis of the locality the members started collecting the information according to the points stated in the objectives of research. The group members visited stores personally for getting the information. No information was collected from online or by telephone source.

Each member was instructed to visit maximum three shops of their locality. The members were also told to recommend any dealer who is the wholesaler in selling Table Tennis Bat. With the help of this information we got the different quotation of all the dealers. This information helped us in analyzing the best/suitable Table Tennis Bat to purchase.

ANALYSIS

Based on the data collected, there are more than 10 brands in the market .The bats are in the range of 150rs to 5000Rs. We have considered quality, durability and price for finalizing the product. As per the study we have found that the bats which are below the price of Rs. 600 are of low quality thats why we have eliminated that range ,whereas Butterfly and GKI is the quality product which is of very high range, thats why purchasing those bats for college purpose would not be logical. After considering all the parameters such as speed, accuracy and control we have found that KUNG-FU (DX-550) brand suits all the requirements, as its good in quality and in affordable range.

Recommendation and Conclusion:

As per above analysis and recommendation of all group members we have decided to choose two brand which will suit college requirement so that final decision can be drawn by the college as per there wish. 1) KUNG-FU (DX-550) Cost of 10sets of bats: 1000*10=10000Rs 2) MONTEX Cost of 10sets of bats: 500*10 = 5000Rs

But as per our analysis the best choice would be KUNGFU (DX-550) in terms of price and durability.
