The One Minute Manager -Dont want autocratic or democratic EFFECTIVE!

Goals should be 250 words or less and be able to be read in one minute or less b. Take a minute to review your performance and see if your behavior matches your goal c. Problems are differences between what ACTUALLY happens and what you DESIRE to happen 2. One Minute Praising a. Tell people up front that you are going to let them know how theyre doing b. Praise people immediately BE SPECIFIC c. Tell people how good it feels that they did something right and how it helps the organization d. Stop for a moment and le them FEEL how good you feel e. Encourage f. Shake Hands *Help people reach their full potential: Catch them doing something right* 3. One Minute Reprimands a. Tell people BEFOREHAND that you are going to le them know how theyre doing b. 1st Reprimand immediately i. Say what they did wrong SPEFICALLY ii. Tell people how you feel about what they did wrong iii. Stop for uncomfortable silence to let them feel it c. 2nd Shake Hands to show honesty i. Remind them how you value them ii. Reaffirm that you think well of them, just not their actions in this situation iii. Realize that when its over, ITS OVER *The best minute I spend is the one I invest in people* *Everyone is a potential winner. Some people are disguised as losers.
