Setup and Install

If you use Windows 2000 and Windows XP, You should setup COM before you run HARTTran Steps: Click Start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Hardware-Device Manager-Ports (COM&LPT)Communication Port (COMs) -Port Settings-Advanced then cancel Use FIFO buffer. Now restart the PC.

3. Software Install
Please insert CD into the Drive, then copy all files of HARTTemp_V1.03 package, run HARTTemp_V1.03.

2. D/A Trim and Loop Current Test

Please do D/A trim at first. The purpose of it is making the transmitter output value is the same as standard current meter. Step 1: Connect standard current meter into loop power circuit then power the transmitter. Step 2: Please click 1st [Get] button, and input current meter value into [1st current]. Step 3: Click 2nd [Get] button, and current meter value into [2nd current]. Step 4: Click [Update] button.

Step 5: You can use [loop test] to test the D/A trim result.

3. Parameter Setup
The following parameter can be used as your requirements. Then click [Update] button Type: Entry of sensor used Zero: For limits see the temperature transmitter datasheet Full: For limits see the temperature transmitter datasheet Unit: Enter engineering limits Offset: Entry of zero point correction Wire: Entry of RTD connection mode, only for RTD Filter: constant current, From 0 to 160uA Self Stability: 4mA and 20mA output are locked between Damp Time: Input: 0 to 100 seconds, 0.1 step Display Mode: only for the temperature transmitter with digital display Decimal: only for the temperature transmitter with digital display 02%FS.

Note: The difference between [Self Stability] and [Filter] is 2 point(4mA and 20mA) stable for [Self Stability], all range is stable for [Filter]

4. HART Information
A. User Information
Date: the date of programming Tag: 8 characters Descriptor: 16 characters Message: 32 characters

B. Short Address
You can change the Roll Address from 0 to 15.

C. Long Address
Device ID, 6 digital

Note: If multi drop configuration, all transmitter in loop have unique addressed.

This item is suitable for the local field. Step1: Input lower the range value(4mA) Step2: Click [Calibration to 4mA] Step3: Input upper range value(20mA) Step4: Click [Calibration to 20mA]

The actual measured data can be displayed in real time. You can monitor the process variable, current, and % range as a graph at the same time. You also can choose freely to monitor one of them via Menu Icon Bar. Additionally, you can save the monitor data to computer and view history data.

Note: The monitor period can be selected from 2sec. to 30 minutes.

Language Translation: This is a very useful tool for you if your native language is not English.
Step 1: Open the file (English.ini), then save as the new language file.
Step 2: Translate the reference language into your own language Step 3: Click [Save] button, and close the file. Step 4: Then you go to the Main Menu Bar, click [Environment], choose your own language.
