A/C Aircraft ACC Airbus Configuration Control: It is a information system used to create, store and deliver much of the information needed for configuration control. The existence of these data, and not their content, is stored in ACC. ACMT Aircraft Component Management Team AIR Aircraft Inspection Report: It records the status of an aircraft and attests its conformance to its definition. AOT Aircraft on Ground ATA Air Transport Association of America BAABI Basic Approved ATA Breakdown Index BAS Basic: Selling Policy for EPAC/TDU's management. BFE Buyer Furnished Equipment: Equipment which is supplied in response to an airline or operator originated purchase order. BOM Bill Of Material: Calls up all elements which are defined in the Drawing Set. CA Constituent Assembly: It is a physically assembled part which cannot be controlled by a single part number. or Change Activity CAD Computer Aided Design CADB Component for Attestation Database: application to manage CA/CC breakdown.

CAIR Constituent Assembly Inspection Report: Attestation of CA conformity. CARE Common Airbus Requirement Engineering CAT Catalogue: Selling Policy for EPAC/TDU's management. CC Configuration Component: It is an elementary item and is always attached to a CA. CCG Cabin Configuration Guide: It is the catalogue for customisation which represents all EPAC/TDU with the selling policy CAT and depending on the business category Cabin. CDBT Component and Design Built Team CHO Change Order CI Configuration Item:It corresponds to a management point in the product structure, where the configuration has to be managed. CIN Change Identification Number: MOD-number + MP-number = CIN CMIT Component Management and Integration Team CMS Code Matire Socit: Airbus internal code for supplier material CN Change Note: change managed within definition phase (before M7) CO Change Order

COC Customer Originated Change: A Modification specific to one airline (customer) or recognized group of airlines and generated by their Engineering or Maintenance departments. Concession Permission to use or release a product that does not conform to specified requirements. Configuration Functional and physical characteristics of a product as defined in technical documents and achieved in the product. CP Change Proposal: Document required prior to the opening of any Change Note. It briefly describes the technical aspects of a proposed change. CQ Customer Query: Customer's representative raise criticism or query referring to design deficiencies discovered during inspection of A/C subsections, final assembly or during A/C acceptance process. CRS Cost Repercussion Sheet: Document representing cost information on the contents of each individual Modification Proposal. CRS Customer Request Sheet: Customer requirements on maintenance. DD Definition Dossier: It is a set of data/documents which fix the reference status of the product definition and give access to all definition information. DDP Declaration of Design and Performance: Derivative Development of an existing type for a specialised role (e.g. freighter) DMU Digital Mock-Up: 3D simulations as Master Geometry, SAM, GRM, DP Design Principles: They give a solution to a given design task and define best practices through rules and conception methods.

DRS Design Requirement Sheet: Describes the design characteristics necessary to meet a benchmark level of supportability and to enable all maintenance tasks. DS Design Solution: It defines a solution for a CI. ECN Engineering Change Note: Describes the changes which have occurred from one issue of the Drawing Set to the next. Effectivity Effective/confirmed application. Indication of the aircraft on which an applicable modification has effectively attested as embodied by the Quality Organization. EIRD Equipment Installation Requirement Document: see Appendix EMCD Equipment Maintenance Cost Dispatch EPAC Entity per Aircraft Change: It is an elementary aircraft function managed within SYSCONF back office. ERP Enterprise Resource Planning ERS Equipment Requirement Sheet: Document presenting the cost aspect of each individual Modification. EVO Evolution: Selling Policy for EPAC/TDU's management. EXT Extended: Selling Policy for EPAC/TDU's management. FAL Final Assembly Line

FIN Functional Item Number: Code allocated to the function of Equipment/Components or significant items of an aircraft system/circuit/installation. FM Frontier Model: It defines the interface specification to have an agreement between two NatCo's and it is used to validate/fix information at the junction of NatCo or supplier's responsibility. GRFC Global Request for Change: Document which lists several customer originated changes. GRM Geometrical Reference Mock-Up: see Appendix GSA Graphic supportability analysis GSE Ground Support Equipment ISB Inspection Service Bulletin: see SB LIR Logistic Information Referential: application to manage supportability engineering LO Link Object: It holds the effectivity information to link a unique pair of CI and DS. MAS Modification Approval Sheet: Document to support the certification of an individual Modification (extract of technical dossier). MEM Memory: Selling Policy for EPAC/TDU's management MG Master Geometry: see Appendix MME Maintenance Maintain Evolution

MOD Modification: change to be managed during development phase (post M7). Model Designates a series with a particular engine installation. Mono-Conf Mono Configuration: "As Designed" and "As Planned" are working on the same configuration items MP Modification Proposal: Document required prior to the opening of any Modification. It briefly describes the technical aspects of a proposed change. MRP Material Resource Planning MSB Modification Service Bulletin: see SB MSCN Manufacturer Specification Change Notice: A SCN relating to a manufacturer modification. MSN Main Serial Number: It corresponds to an individual aircraft as defined by Airbus through validated Modifications. MTA Maintenance Task Analysis: Analyses the proposed design solutions to ensure that quantitative maintainability requirements are fulfilled. NatCo National Company NSDW Non Specific Design Work: e.g. aerodynamics, aeroelastics, aircraft performance, OBS Organisation Breakdown Structure: A representation of the project organisation in ACMT, CMIT and CDBT. They are arranged in order to allocate accountability (time, cost, performance) of workpackages to organisational units.

P/N Part Number: Identification for a Part, Assembly Kit or Material item. PO Planned Order: Manufacturing activity planned through ERP calculation. PTS Purchaser Technical Specification: Document issued by the Purchaser to indicate to the Supplier the technical and management requirements for an item of equipment or a package of items of equipment. QMA Quality Maintainability Analysis: Identifies shortcomings in aircraft design that would impact supportability objectives and performance. RFC Request For Change: It is any customer request for a change to the aircraft Standard Specification. RFC-Tool Program Filtering (pre-feasibility, full-feasibility, solution examination, Partner Information) and all types of studies. RFW Request For Work: Document drawn up by Airbus and sent to the industrial organisations, related to problems experienced on inservice aircraft or during aircraft delivery. It can also arise from changes to meet the aircraft specification and from studies to improve the product beyond the aircraft specification. RMO Retrofit Modification Offer: Contractual document offered to the customer in response to a RFW, RFC or CQ to change the definition of an in-service aircraft. SAM Space Allocation Mock-Up: see Appendix SAM Space Allocation Mock-Up: see Appendix SB Service Bulletin: Document issued by the manufacturer to notify the airline of recommended modifications, substitution of parts, special inspection/checks, reduction of existing life limits or establishment of first life limits and conversion from one engine model to another.

SCG System Configuration Guide: It is the catalogue for customisation which represents all EPAC/TDU with the selling policy CAT and depending on the business category System. SCN Specification Change Notice: Contractual document between a Customer and Airbus to implement a change. SCS Supportability Candidate Sheet: Identifies the design items which are involved in a maintenance requirement. Series Designates specific structure and systems design characteristics within an aircraft type. SES Supportability Experience Sheet: Return of in-service experience to supportability engineering. SFE Seller Furnished Equipment: Commercial classification of equipment supplied by the aircraft manufacturer. SIRD System Installation Requirement Document: see Appendix STD Standard: production standard Std Spec Standard Specification: It represents a flyable aircraft which is the basis of the contract and the reference for the Aircraft Purchase Agreement. SYSCONF System and Cabin Configurator: It is a tool which manages the EPAC-TDU compilation, issues catalogues and contractual documents (SCN,MSCN). TD Technical Dossier: Document describing all the technical repercussions related to a Modification when the design definition is considered to be complete. TDU Technical Description Unit: It is the technical solution corresponding to an EPAC.

TLAR Top Level Aircraft Requirements: Program maintenance requirements. TRS Technical Repercussion Sheet: It is a document presenting technical information on the contents of each individual Modification Proposal (Change Process) Type relates to specific design definition for Certification purposes. Validity Scheduled application with precise embodiment point for a modification selected for Industrialisation. Version Specific customised definition of an allocated aircraft within a given Production Standard/Model. When a MSN is allocated to a customer it is given a version identifier which consists of the 3-letter ICAO airline designator and a number identifying the version. (e.g.: MSN: 753, VERSION: JAS 03) WO Work Order: At falling due, Planned Order is converted in Work Order
