Push Replenishment

Push replenishment occurs prior to pick release and involves replenishing the forward pick area to meet anticipated demand. Push replenishment is used for items that have a high demand for a given period of item. The system calculates the replenishment quantity as follows: replenishment quantity required = total demand using criteria - On-hand quantity - sum (all open replenishment move orders with destination subinventory as forward pick subinventory) Following are the steps to do Push Replenishment in Oracle WMS. 1. Create following master items and assign it to W1. a. Golf Ball b. Golf Club c. Golf Ball Retriever d. Golf Tee 2. Create following sub inventories and associated locators a. ABULK (Bulk Storage Subinventory) i. AB1.2.1 ii. AB1.2.2 iii. AB1.2.3 iv. AB1.2.4 b. BSUBFK (Forward Pick Subinventory) i. BF.1.1 ii. BF.1.2 iii. BF.1.3 iv. BF.1.4 v. BF.1.5 3. Define conversion in UOM for following items as described below a. Golf Ball i. 1 Pallet = 100 Ea b. Golf Club i. 1 Pallet = 10 Ea c. Golf Ball Retriever i. 1 Pallet = 10 Ea d. Golf Tee i. 1 Pallet = 20 Ea 4. Create a PO and add each of these items in PO lines. Order unit should be Pallet and Order Qty. should be 10. 5. Receive each of these items into ABULK Subinventory in following locators

a. Golf Ball : AB1.2.1 b. Golf Club : AB1.2.2 c. Golf Ball Retriever : AB1.2.3 d. Golf Tee : AB1.2.4 6. Create and book Sales Order with these items and quantities a. SO1 : Golf Ball, 100 Ea b. SO2 : Golf Ball, 100 Ea c. SO3 : Golf Club, 19 Ea d. SO4 : Golf Ball Retriever, 18 Ea e. SO5 : Golf Ball, 65 Ea f. SO6 : Golf Club, 12 Ea g. SO7 : Golf Tee, 10 Ea 7. Run a Push Replenishment concurrent request with responsibility as Warehouse Manager as shown below

Golf Ball Retriever 18 EA (1.8 PLT) Golf Tee 10 EA (0.5 (PLT)

The system considers items Golf Club, Golf Ball, and Golf Ball Retriever for replenishment because the replenishment criteria limit the number of items to three. Because the minimum replenishment

threshold is 2 PLT item Golf Ball Retriever is not considered for replenishment. The system also disregards item Golf Ball Retriever because only on sales order line requested the item, and the minimum threshold for orders lines is 2. The system generates the following move orders for the push replenishment area based on the replenishment lot size. Item Golf Club 4 PLT (To Destination Sub BSUBFK) Item Golf Ball 3 PLT (To Destination Sub BSUBFK) The system uses pick and put away rules to determine the final source and destination locators for the items. The delivery lines for items Golf Ball and Golf Club are changed to Replenishment Requested as shown below in shipping transactions form.

8. Find and manage the Replenishment Tasks in Warehouse Control Board as shown below. Initially the status of these tasks will be Unreleased. Update the status to Queued.

9. Find the Replenishment tasks in MSCA. Load and Drop both the items from ABULK to BSUBFK as shown below:

The status of the lines changes from Replenishment Requested to Replenishment Complete for these items in Shipping Transactions Form as shown below:

10. Check these items in Material Workbench for the quantities moved into new Subinventory i.e. BSUBFK.
