Blessing of the Animals: To celebrate the October 4 feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Deacon Carl Fahringer will lead th the traditional blessing of pets this Sunday, October 7 , at 2:00 PM, in the parish Prayer Garden area, the grassy spot to the left of the church. Your pets should be on a leash or in a pet carrier for safety reasons all are welcome! From Deacon Carl: On Wednesday, October10, All Saints will have a Holy Hour beginning with a Communion service at 6:30. The Rosary and silent prayer will be during the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, which will end with Benediction at 7:30. Bring your needs and gaze upon the Lord. The Annual Chili Supper and Game Night for adults only will be held Saturday October 27th in the Parish Hall, starting at 6pm. Tickets are $10.00 each and provides the food and drinks. Any money left over will be donated to the Church "Poor Box." Bring your favorite games and join us for a night of fellowship, food, and fun! The Community Baby Shower was held last Friday, and we appreciate your donations of disposable diapers. We also want to thank Mary Anne Cecil and Patti Grubb, who helped organize our efforts and distributed the diapers. Food Pantry: The Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency thanks us for the non-perishable food donated last week. You may continue to drop off donations in the baskets outside the Parish Offices & help feed the hungry in our county. Stewards of Appalachia: Containers in the back of church & outside the Parish Offices will be available for your donations for the people of Eastern Kentucky. Needed are soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, dishwashing liquid, bleach, household cleaners of any kind, window cleaner, paper towels, toilet paper, baby food, diapers, bottled water, any non perishable food items, especially tuna, canned chicken, peanut butter.
