10 Fun Facts About F.R.I .E.N.D.S

The show that aired in 1994 and ended in 2004, after com pleting a reigning era of ten years, was all about friendship. The theme of the show revolved around six friends nam ely Chandler, Monica, her brother Ross, Joey, Rachel, and Phoebe. All the episodes were about their daily lives and its various hilarious happenings. The show turned out to be such a success and ended up making its viewers sad when the show ended. To date, F.R.I.E.N.D.S is one series that does not disappoint or bore you. The jokes still seem fresh, the scenarios still pretty, the fashion still acceptable. 10. ABOUT M ATH EW PERRY CH I LDH OOD S

Perhaps the m ost fam ous male character of the show, Chandler, real-name Mathew Perry was raised in Ottawa, Canada. Before he took up acting as a profession the actor was a junior tennis star and aced at the sport. It is a fact that he never graduated from college due to the reason that he gave up studying as soon as he was offered a role in Boys will be Boys, which was a sitcom. After he joined the F.R.I.E.N.D.S bandwagon as Chandler, the first ever film role he did was that in Fools Rush In with Salma Hayek.

9. FOOTAGE FOR AN EPI SODE

When watching a particular episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, one is often left amazed at how soon it finishes. The whole 20 or so minutes are spent in laughing or speculating over what will happen next. You will be am azed to know that for each episode that is filmed, m ore than 5 m iles of the film role is used. Moreover, for each and every episode of

F.R.I.E.N.D.S that is produced a total of 12 hours of footage is recorded. That also includes bloopers. The 12 hours are then cut short to create a 22 m inute episode.

Now that you have already read about the fact that 12 hours are footage are recorded for every episode, you m ust also know that if everything goes well a regular episode is film ed within 5 hours. We love Rachael now don we. She played this am azing character and had her own bubbly charm around her. t And you must also rem em ber that Joey acted for a soap called Days of our Lives which Rachael loved! The sad fact remains that her Dad divorced her mom when Jen was just nine.

Matthew Perry, more lovingly known as Chandler, has been known to crack quite a few jokes on the sets of FRIENDS. One look at the bloopers offers more proof than required. It is a fact that out of the entire cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, it is only him they allow to sit in the screen writings. They say he som etimes helps the writers to com e up with jokes or to help them cruise around difficult spots.

Lisa Kudrow known as Phoebe in the series has often been seen in the lists of worst dressed people and the funny thing or fact you might want to know is that it is more or so because of the dressing style of her character Phoebe than herself. Yes people its true!

Before the title F.R.I.E.N.D.S was finalized, a whole hoard of different titles were looked upon as choice titles for the show. Another fact of the matter is that F.R.I.E.N.D.S is actually short for FRIENDS like US which was to be the title for the show originally.

How many times have we seen F.R.I.E.N.D.S and have fantasized about going to a cafe just like Central Perk, the famous hangout for the characters. The cafe represents so m uch and it is a fact that the set for the cafe was taken down only once in ten years when they had to build the stage for Caesar Palace in the episode The one in s Vegas. Very touching!

The laughter that is often heard in the background of the scenes is m ore often than not the recorded piece that the editor has got in his com puter. The laughter is used whenever the laughter of the actual audience present needs to be cut short! Sometimes it so happens that the live audience sim ply cannot stop laughing and to wait for them to finish before beginning the rem aining dialogue delivery creates a very awkward pause. Ok so this fun fact falls on the number one on this list, the reason being that it just m akes you laugh for no apparent reason. Remem ber the episode where there is a costum e party and since all the other outfits are sold out, Monica selects a Bunny outfit for Chandler. She goes it was either pink bunny or no bunny at all and Chandler says no bunny! its always no bunny!. It was hilarious. And then there was this other episode where Phoebe tries to com e onto Chandler (she is actually bluffing) and Chandler goes Why is it so hard to believe that Phoebe is attracted to me? and Monica original reply was supposed to be, It not.
