A. Name of the Business: ETC (Engineers Tools Corner) The business proponents came up with the name ETC: Engineers Tools Corner. ETC is as an abbreviation of the products we will be selling, which are Engineering and also Architectural tools and referred to as a corner because it will be in a kiosk, and everything that they will need be found there. B. Title of the Study: A Feasibility Study on Engineering and Architecture Supplies Kiosk C. Store Location: SM Manila Located at Natividad Almeda-Lopez (formerly called Concepcion) corner A. Villegas (formerly called Arroceros) and San Marcelino Streets, Ermita, Manila just near the Manila City Hall. One of the major factors to be considered in starting up a business is its location. Accessibility of the store must be assured and it must be also familiarized by the target market. If its location is later determined, and did not match to the audiences accessibility, it may lead to companys failure. If and only you choose the right location for your business, it may reach your target market and make their demands available.

From the survey as our basis, majority of our respondents had chosen mall as the best location of our business. Malls are undeniably more convenient to shop from than other stores.

D. Description of the Logo

The logo of the business reflects the essence of the whole company. Familiar tools in Engineering and Architecture were used because students from the said industry are the chosen target market. The logo of ETC, Engineers Tools Corner, is composed of an image of a hard hat including the light, in the left, over a blue print and the business name, ETC, in the right. The hard hat is the symbol not only of the logo but of the whole business itself. It stands for firmness of the business. The light at the top of the hard hat stands for clear and concise customer-oriented objectives. The blue print represents careful planning of company goals and professionalism of the company. The ETC in the right are the initials of the business name for easy recall and written in big capital letters for emphasis and clarity. The initials also stand for etc. meaning and the like or others. There are four colors used in the logo, yellow, blue, black and white. The colors were chosen to provide balance in the logo. Yellow and blue are the appealing colors and represent the main colors of the business. Then the two remaining colors serve as the supporting colors to balance the logo. E. Brief Description of the Project The study is about school supplies kiosk offering engineering and architectural tools as its main products. The objective of the proponents in

making this business is to put up a specialty store offering specific goods matching their needs. Engineering and architecture students need not to go to bigger stores and look for their needed materials and tools. Through our business, they can just drop by, give us their list, and we can find it for them. Another is that, since the business will be in a kiosk, they can find the products and tools easily, no need to roam around the store. The business proponents value the time of the customers, each tool, product and material are placed accordingly so as to be found easily and arranged by brand, types, forms, etc. F. Objectives of the Business To produce and sell goods for profit through the satisfaction of human wants. To create markets and create customers for its products and services. To operate in the interest of the customer. To create new products, new designs and application of new techniques of production contributes to growth, change and expansion in the economy. To provide employment for the people. It thus helps in increasing the standard of living of the members of the society. To build a reputation for quality, error-free products and service. To build a solid customer base on which to expand product range

To ensure continuous supply of goods to meet the requirement of the society.

G. Research and Methodology The researchers used different techniques in gathering data to carry and support the study. G.1. Survey The survey was conducted among 400 respondents to identify their opinion and suggestions for the progress of the study and to determine their knowledge regarding about the school supply business. The method used is the random sampling method. G.2. Sampling Techniques The researchers used random sampling for them to gather information with their target market. Surveys are conducted to know the peoples demand regarding the engineering supplies stall business by using a specific number of persons or respondents from different schools in the University Belt. The researchers based the respondents from the engineering students near SM Manila. G.3. Survey Questionnaires For the researchers to know information and gather relevant data about the students preferences when it comes about engineering supplies kiosk, the

researchers agreed to use questionnaires. In such process, we find it very reliable because of such information we had gathered. Questionnaires are made for the researchers to get the target markets personal choice when it comes to engineering supplies kiosk. Through these questionnaires, the researchers will gain information and data and will be able to determine how the kiosk will be after its launch and to know the demand of such supplies. The group provided 400 survey questionnaires which are all in English language. G.4. Research The researchers used the information from different references in the library, the internet and some interviews to target market and other people that could help the researcher to gather information about the business, the location of the store or mall and other information that can facilitate the study.

G.5. Mapping

H. Project Summary H.1. Market Summary Market Objectives of the project include earning profit, creating a specialty stall and widening variety of choices for engineering and architectural tools and establishing a distinct store identity. The segmented market of the project includes college level students both male and female who are taking up any courses in engineering and architecture field with age ranging from 15 to 25 years old, living or studying in Manila City, particularly near SM Manila because

this is where the business will be located. Their psychographic aspects include outgoing and adventurous lifestyle and an intelligent and introverted personality. The proposed marketing strategies for the business are: for its placing strategy, the stall will be strategically located inside SM Manila, neighboring colleges and universities which offer engineering and architectural courses, the primary target market. In terms of pricing, the business will use price penetration. Promotional strategy includes creating posters and tarpaulins and social networking sites like Facebook and twitter, newspaper ads and gift certificates. Analysis of the business reveals that its primary strength is its specialization on engineering and architectural tools offered in such a way that is more accessible to its market. Weaknesses revolve on the businesss being a new player and that the products it will offer are limited and not fast moving. As an opportunity, the project aims for expansion and to be well known for its best customer service. Immediate threats include high risk of fluctuation and advancement in technology. H.2. Technical Summary The Technical aspect is intended to identify the service/s, Leave-aMessage! that gives customers the privilege to leave a list of products to the ETC stall as he/she shops in the mall, and the variety of products the proposed business offers primarily which are various Engineering students school supplies and/or tools. The company also caters to the Architecture students and related

courses. It also sells ordinary school supplies like pens, erasers, paper, notebooks, and the like. Aside from such, the technical aspect also includes the raw materials to be used in the stall construction and the construction itself including the construction enterprise, LAJ Builders, who will assemble the stall from carpentry to the glass and aluminum parts to the electrical wirings to be installed and the furnishings or paint and final designs of the stall. The stall layout, floor plan layout, stall location, and vicinity map will also be illustrated here along with the processes done in such. Raw materials used in the construction of the stall will also be illustrated here in a tabular form. Machineries and equipment, supplies, and furniture and fixtures will also be illustrated here. It also handles the legal processes in dealing with private companies like the SM Management and/or some government agencies concerning the stall

construction and processes. The employee uniforms: white polo shirts for the cashier and crew and blue polo for the managers, will also be shown here as well as its cost and payment terms. And lastly, the labor requirements, utility requirements and waste disposal methods will also be included here. H.3. Management Aspect This aspect of the feasibility study presents certain processes and requirements that were needed for the business to operate; this includes the following: The pre-operating procedure where the government institutions that the business needs to comply with was cited. Next is the form of the business

Operational Terms French curve - a flat drafting instrument with curved edges and several scroll-shaped cutouts, used as a guide in drawing curves when constructing graphs or making engineering drawings. Triangular Scale a drafting instrument that is triangular in cross section and has a different scale on each edge. Some edges have two opposing scales, one two times the other, such as 1/8" and 1/4" equals 1'. Erasing Shield - protect areas of a drawing that you do not want to erase. They are made of a light gauge, spring metal with numerous openings in variegated shapes and sizes. Point of Sale System (POS) - The point of sale often refers to the physical electronic cash register or dedicated POS hardware (or "terminal") used for checkout, but the POS is simply the location where the sale is conducted, money changes hands and a receipt is given, which can also occur on Smartphone, tablet, laptop, or mobile POS device when the right hardware and POS software is combined with the mobile device. Thermal Paper - is a special fine paper that is coated with a chemical that changes color when exposed to heat. It is used in thermal printers and particularly in inexpensive or lightweight devices such as adding machines, cash registers, and credit card terminals.

Isometric Diagram - A form of three-dimensional projection in which all of the principal planes are drawn parallel to corresponding established axes and at true dimensions; horizontals usually are drawn at 30 from the normal horizontal axes; verticals remain parallel to the normal vertical axis.

J. Scope and Limitations The study focused on engineering and architectural supplies since the category of school supplies is very broad and offering all of those would cost a lot on the part of the proponents. The coverage of the study was limited to the most bought and consumed school supplies of engineering and architecture students. This was done to have an understanding as to what were the most used supplies and the probability of putting up a kiosk offering these supplies. The respondents of the study were composed of 400 engineering and architecture students. Random sampling is the technique used in conducting the survey. The questionnaires were administered in universities and colleges near SM Manila where the kiosk will be located.
