The Aims of Academic Study and How Can They Be Achieved? For every individual, to achieve and reach his/her personal level best requires academic study i.e., schooling and holistic development. This essay will discuss these aims of academic study and how they can be achieved. The main aim of academic study is getting educated and building a career out of it. Education is the key to an intellectually active and productive life and it ensures having a career to some level. Knowledge is of great importance because it develops an eager mind that recognizes opportunities and works towards acquiring realistic career goals. Good schooling, followed by college and specialization courses equips a person with qualifications that help him/her become a professional of their desired field and be financially independent. Furthermore, academic literacy helps to plan and execute a private business. Financial literacy is also acquired through academic education and this trains the person to make good money-related decisions. A more social aim of academic study is effective personal involvement in the community. Academic study teaches the individuals how they can raise awareness about issues. It teaches them the art of good communication, which is extremely important when dealing with large groups. Community service programs, volunteer work, leadership workshops, etc., are all a part of academic education. The students become confident individuals, and capable leaders who realize their potential in making the society a better place.

A good percentage of people possess qualities or talents which are unique to their personality. A lot of them dont realize this. Good universities and institutions have platforms like clubs and activities where students discover and improve their talents and turn it into a useful skill. Abandoning any effort to improve these talents will lead to waste of opportunity. Academic study is an indispensible part of the modern society. Its aims differ depending on the individual. Without trained engineers, doctors, businessmen/businesswomen, and leaders, the community and global market will collapse. Academic literacy is now a measure of any area/district/city/countrys development; hence, it is important for political success too. Holding on to it is the wise mans choice. ************
