The Editors
Rev. Dr. Oberland Snaitang, an ordained minister of the Church of God, Shillong, has taught History of Christianity at several theological institutions in Shillong, Serampore, Jorhat, Tiruvalla, Bangalore, and Aizawl and is a research scholar with the Indian Council of Social Science Research North Eastern Regional Centre, Shillong. He was granted a senior fellowship by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi for a project on Christianity and National Integration in Northeast India. A former Secretary General of CHAI he is its president at present. Prof.George Menachery, Former Vice-President and at present the Secretary General of CHAI. Visiting Professor at the Pontifical Institute, Alwaye (1985 to the present) and member of the Governing Body of the Christian Chair, Calicut University. Chief Editor of the ecumenical reference works the St. Thomas Christian Encyclopaedia of India (1973, 1982, 2010), the Indian Church History Classics (1998 &c.) and author of many books. Pope Benedict XVI made him a Chevalier by conferring on him the Membership of the Equistrian Order of St. Gregory the Great, KSG.
