Possible Solutions: The passing away of Steve Jobs as the CEO and mastermind behind the innovat ions

could have been the Achilles heel of Apple's success. Prior to his death he tried to reassure all those investors and those loyal to the Apple Brand to not worry that everything is in place as for a successor and the future of the inno vations of Apple's products are just beginning. Steve Jobs was the face of Apple until his death October 5, 2011, the day which all of Apple's loyal customers f eared and mourned. Although the key of Apple's success passed there was no major drop in stock prices or loss of confidence in the company. Tim Cook stepped up to become the New CEO of Apple, who was another one of the mastermind behind man y of the products Apple has created and shown a light as to Apple was not only S teve Jobs, but in reality it is built on a number of intuitive innovative minds all together and Apple will continue a strong legacy for many year even after th e supposed collapse due to Steve Job's death. Apple is now being viewed by everyone worldwide as to what is next with its established product lines in the iPhone, iPod, iPad, iMac, iTunes, iCloud, Appl e App. Store, and Apple TV. They have so much to work with and just ideas to con tinue to grow these lines in themselves. The key they capitalize on now is the b rand loyalty from their customers and having the products open to new advances i n innovation. June 11-15, 2012 is the Annual Conference for Software Developers in which Apple is supposed to announce finally since Steve Job's death what's ne xt in software for all its products in the new iOS 6. Apple has so many solution s to continue to succeed as a whole. Two possible solutions for Apple is to try again to bring to light new innovations in the production of a mini MacBook and creating the Apple TV as a main product, then just a hobby for Apple. These produ cts mostly failed in the past, in becoming the next big thing like the iPhone, b ut are just a fuel for Apple to reengineer them in to the success they could pot ential be for the company. The success of a mini MacBook bring new consumers of lower income brackets into the Mac family as well as a new possibility for children to have their mini MacBook, by providing a small version of the MacBook Pro that is on a more basi c level cutting costs, but still providing the essence of perfection and innovat ion of the MacBook Pro. By reaching new customers, Apple continues to spread its brand into new areas of the market and by getting to the younger generations th ey can influence them early as to what type of computers they will be more incli ned to purchase and use, because growing up with a MacBook mini versus growing u p with a PC and windows will be a huge influence in the future buying habits bas ed on how comfortable they feel with Apples MacBook. The iMini could be a huge su ccess for Apples cost curve to reach those who have less income and connect them to the other Apple products in their future purchases such as the iPod, iPad, or iPhone, if possible. The greater focus on Apple TV could be very beneficial for Apple, who curre ntly only uses it in partnership with its iTunes product to be able to stream it s videos, music, television shows, and apps from the users purchased library. Th e potential for development on the Apple TV is very opportune. The possible conn ection between the iCloud and iTunes with Apple TV make it easy to stream video, music, etc. easy right from the iCloud through the internet as well as open pag es on your TV which is computer and TV connected into one with endless possibili ties. One missing component of getting into the television market as well is bei ng able to access some type of cable broadcasting. Apple can consider buying out a cable provider such as Direct TV, Cox, etc. or form a partnership with them i n order to continue innovation the Apple TV to be able to show channels stations and broadcast as well. This will be a major factor in the combination of the in ternet and its streaming capabilities along with the cable broadcasting into one super product that will have customers wanting to be able to do everything in o ne. Which if Apple can produce the innovation and like they did at first with th e iPhone partnering with AT&T and instead partner with say Cox Communications to create either a box like the Apple TV is now or a iTV that has it built-in coul d be a successful new product for Apple. Another solution is to keep focused on what Apple is and will continue to b

e the highest performing company from its products to service. What Steve Jobs a nd the Apple Team have set up the basic foundations on all of Apples products. No w all Apple has to do to keep their dominance in the phone, computer, music, and many other industries it competes in by working to bring out the minor details of the already established products, which will make the major difference in per formance that will attract those brand loyal consumers to want the next newest v ersion and also bring in new customers to their products. Apple can continue to build-in new features into their products, by impleme nting some of the commonly used hook ups that are not currently on their devices such as HDMI cable, USB cable, and other adaptors in order to make their produc ts even more versatile than they already are to reach new outlets. Also making n ew products for their product would be a key component to continued success. The y could make converters for their hook ups so you could charge you products with a USB charger or connector to the computer instead of the basic iProducts charg er and connector on which the products are built. Apples continuing success if ba sed on the continuing innovation of its basic foundation product line, by making them one version at a time better than the previous, also by continuing to make their products do more and be more utilized in different ways, through the grow th of add-ons, adaptors, converters, and the continuing growth as well of their applications and music stores in order to be the one-in-all products. Recommend a Solution: For Apple, the most effective solution would be to stick with their base line and make minor updates. There are many minor changes Apple could do to rel ease new models, Apple should not try to re-package old products to appeal to ne w audiences, and Apple should not branch out to markets they might not be ready for. There are still many possible updates for Apples baseline products such a s, iPhone, iPod, iPad, iMac, iTunes, iCloud, Apple App. Store, and Apple TV. For instance, in relation to the iPod, Apple could add camera capabilities, and mor e space to store music. The iMac is always being updated with more memory, faste r processing, and more programs. As well, the Apple App. Store continues to grow as Apple and outside programmers add more Apps. Apple should refrain from marketing a mini Mac book as a cheaper version of the Mac book for lower income families and children. A large aspect of Apples great success comes from Apples high end reputation and sophisticated nature. In addition, by jumping into a new product line that seems to be selling out to conf orm to other computer companies with a mini Mac book could actually make Apple l ook weak. After Steve Jobs death Apple stocks did not drop that much, so Apple sh ould continue making money how it has in the past. Although, a great company lik e Apple could easily slip to a good company by staying stagnant and not innovati ng Apple is not faced with this problem. Apple is still innovating and improving their core product line, and until the market is ready when Apple could produce something more groundbreaking than a mini Mac book. Change for the sake of chan ge alone can be just as detrimental to a company as no change at all. Apple should not branch out into new markets that they might not prosper in just yet. If Apple were to partner with someone such as Cox, Apple would be venturin g into a new area with Apple TV. By re-marketing the Apple TV to also incorporat e channel broadcasting would constitute as trying to re-market an old Apple prod uct to a new market, which essentially could make Apple look like it doesnt know where to go after the passing of Steve Jobs.
