BRIEF A print and packaging based investigation of greetings cards, with a focus on creating a range of Christmas inspired, Make your own cards for children aged between 6- 12. With a primary focus on allowing parents to engage with craft based activities with their children.

CONCEPT Every year millions of people will exchange Christmas cards, the Make your own series allows the individual to create something that is much more personal as well as being a creative activity that engages young children.

Branding Logo can be altered and applied according to the range; Make your own : Quicksand Bold. Vector Christmas trees. Christmas Gift Wrap : Quicksand Bold. Vector varies according to gift wrap pattern. Christmas Greetings Cards: Quicksand Bold. Vector varies according to card design.

MAKE YOUR OWN! As the idea behind the brief was to encourage young children to interact with crafts each of the products within the pack is easily recognisable as an association with Christmas using simple vector designs that are applied across the range. The pack also includes glitter glue and colouring pencils.

COMPETITION To make the concept more interactive individuals have a chance to photograph the design they have made and share it either on Twitter or Facebook with the chance to win a Christmas hamper from UK Greetings.

Patterns A series of 6 designs for the wrapping paper, in a range of different colours and designs. All of the patterns are based on the original items in the Make your own! pack to ensure the designs are consistent across the range.

Wrapping Paper Each individual pack contains 2 sheets of patterned wrapping paper with 2 gift tags, individually labelled and the price label being colour coded according the colour of the individual patterns.

READY MADE CARDS A series of 3 chosen designs that are made up of the vector designs from the make your own range. A simple design with shapes that are easily recognisable with one colour for each design. Choosing a foil finish for the cards each card comes with an envelope according to the colour of the design.
