Compressive Strength
Concrete is a man-made material, essentially mixed at site. The properties of concrete depend on the properties of its ingredients and their proportion, and is likely to vary from mix to mix. Tests must be conducted, therefore to ensure that the concrete used is in accordance with design specifications. A frequent test, is the test of compressive strength, in which concrete samples are tested to failure.

Key Features General

Conform to IS : 14858 (2000) and Exceeds specifications of ASTM C39, AASHTO T22, BS, EN and other ASTM standards depending on platens & accessories chosen CE certified Fully computer Controlled Microsoft Windows compatible operating system for machine control National Instruments Labview platform for data acquisition analysis, and Report Generation High speed USB 2.0 connectivity to the PC Solidstate Power electronics for reliable operation

Safety aspects include constant monitoring and display of Front Door open / closed status Oil level in the tank. Platen travel limits When any of these safety aspects are faulted, the pump automatically stops until the problem is corrected. The display will continue to show the error while the alarm buzzer keep sounding until it is corrected. Large , colorful on-screen pace rate error bar constantly displayed during the RUN

Electronic Hardware features

The compression testing machine is fully controlled by IBM or IBM compatible personal computer running under Microsoft Windows operating System. The Pump control employ solid state digital controls and connects to the PC via USB 2.0 connectivity, Measurement circuits available for constantly measuring and indicating the ambient temperature, humidity (Optional) LVDT interface is available for Strain measurements (Optional) Machine hardware is easily configurable through software, making the field upgradation easy! i.e., a Standard compression machine can easily be upgraded to compression plus flexure or compression plus flexure plus split tensile or for that matter two compression frames of different capacities.

Software Features:
An intuitive and easy to use Graphical User interface Login and Access control Online help file Multiple calibration files for different machine configuration can be stored and re-called at user will. Machine will not start unless proper calibration file is loaded. Least count of 0.01 kN from 50kN to 5000kN for all capacities

The software provide three basic tools for the operator. They are: Machine Calibration verification The user can use their certified force verification device and obtain a set of reading and verify the actual deviation from the machine calibration and generate calibration verification certificates Running and Testing the sample Running the test involve documenting the sample details and setting the configuration of the machine and other associated operating conditions like defining the sample shape, size, pace rate and failure detection levels etc.. for conducting the test. The pace rate can be modified by the user dynamically during the RUN time. Once the RUN is over, the data gets saved onto the computer hard disc automatically. The number of RUNs that can be stored is only limited by the space available on the hard disc. The screen flashes the peak load once the RUN is complete. The load is released automatically once the test is complete. The operator can hold and release the load at any point during the RUN. A manual emergency button is provided to shut off the machine in emergency. Post analysis and Report Generation Calibration Report Generation Calibration Verification Report Selective or Batch Reports, Todays Batch report or Duration batch reports Reports for individual samples with data in Graphical and / or tabular forms. The plots include, Load Vs Time Stress Vs Time Load Vs Stress Load Vs compression Compression Vs Time Stress Vs Strain Strain Vs Time All reports exportable to MS-Word, MS-Excel, Adobe pdf formats Editable header / footer information in the reports
