The Magna Carta has helped people all over the world with religion rights and more. There has been some religion problems to this day but, not like back then. It was only because Kings were getting more power and that was okay as long as they were nice. But when King John came into power he was not nice at all. In fact he was cruel. He didnt let anybody go to church. He fought with the pope about who owned the church. He even had a civil war against the barons. But then, all the English joined together to make the Magna Carta. It was a legal document that if signed by the king it would give them religious freedom. So all the barons joined together to forced King John to sign it. In the future other legal documents were made based on the Magna Carta. So the Magna Carta was a legal document that gave more religious freedom and gave birth to other legal documents. The purpose of the Magna Carta is to give more rights in terms of religious freedom. The Magna Carta is a legal document that gave more religious rights to many English. First it says that they get the right to go to church at any time they want. It also says that the king doesnt own the church because the pope does. Also the Magna Carta says that the king or anybody cant hold anyone in prison without somebody knowing. Also king john did that. He held people in prison by a secret. He was a bad king and evil. Nobody liked him. Not a single person. That is why they made the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta affected King John and many English. Also the Magna Carta affected the Pope. The Magna Carta said that the Pope owned the church. The King wasnt in full control anymore. And all the English could do more things now. Plus they had to make the Magna Carta to do more things. These people

had a lot of parts in the Magna Carta. The religious freedom let them go to church and pray and do many other things. The Magna Carta was written to give English religious freedom. The Magna Carta says that the English church should be free to go to at any time of the day. The Magna Carta says that their liberties were not inviolate. The Magna Carta also says they need to have funerals to the fallen military soldiers. Then they could pray for that soldier and the people related to that soldier. The Magna Carta also says that The guardian of the land of an heir who is thus under age, shall take from the land of heir nothing but reasonable produce. (Roland). As stated above, the Magna Carta lets the English have more religious freedom. Also, the Magna has to do with the English, the Pope, and King John. King John wanted to rule over everything and he had too much power. He was so cruel to the English. Therefore, the Magna Carta assisted the English out of King Johns rule. The purpose was that King john wanted to rule over everything. King John had to much power over everything in England. He fought with the Pope about who owned the church. He even had a civil war with forty of his barons (encyclopedia.com). He kept people in jail without anyone knowing. That is illegal now these days. He was also a cruel King that got anything he pleased. He never let the English pray or go to church. The fights got so bad that the pope excommunicated him. King John didnt even obey laws because he thought the King could do anything he pleased. Ultimately, King John wasnt cruel, he was evil. Next, King John could get people to do anything. They fought a war in France that they lost and lost almost all the land to France. The English got angered and made the Magna

Carta. It said that if King John signed the Magna Carta that they would have more religious rights over King John can go to church more. They pretty much wanted to kill him. But they knew they could not have done that so they made the Magna Carta. king John was also very, very cruel. He kept people in jail without any English knowing. Now these days that is illegal. That law came from the Magna Carta. King John made the English poor by collecting pretty much all of their taxes and money. Maybe that is why that civil war happened. Or possibly he was the cruelest king that lived. You can think of a lot of things, but no one really knows the answer. But one thing is for sure true he was a really cruel king that everyone technically wanted to kill him because of all the things he did. He also got people to do anything he wanted. He could say kill this person and he would die. He was the king. He got anything. He never stopped getting anything. It is a good thing that the English made the Magna Carta and forced king John to sign it. It might seem mean but think about all the things Ive been talking about king John. So do thing it is mean to force him to sign it. King john is the most and cruelest king that ever lived. As stated before, King John was the cruelest king that ever lived. He took the religious freedom away from the people of England. These people were poor and got there believes taken away from them. They werent able to go to church. They suffered for years. The English did not get enough time for there religious freedom. They got forced to do slave work for the king whenever the king felt like making them work. They werent able to get more important things done because King John was always making them do horrible things. He kept people in prison secretly (Carr). Now that

is illegal. It was a very horrible time for the English people. They got many things taken away from them. Including the land from France. But it was it wasnt there fault. It was King Johns because he put every thing to that war. He even put all the money into the war. So they had no money, and barely any land left. They were already poor enough. King John just made it worse (encyclopedia.com). These are all the reasons that lead up to making the Magna Carta. The English got sick of dealing with King John. That is why they made the Magna Carta. They were so angry they forced him to sign. King John had no choice. He had to sign it and promise to be a good king. He signed it but he did not listen to the English. Even though things did not get any better it helped way later in history. Thing never really got better with King John in power but when other kings came into power it got better for the English. Kings started to follow the rules of the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta is still used to this day by everyone all over the world. As said in the paragraph before, The English was mistreated by King John and wasnt allowed to go to church. They didnt have anything to do religion because of King John. But in the future the Magna Carta still does a lot for the world. There are some rules that were in the Magna Carta that is in the Constitution. For Example, you arent allowed to keep people in prison without anyone knowing. The Magna Carta gave people all over the world religious freedom, the right to pray and many religious things. People get to believe in whatever they want now because of the Magna Carta. The fifth amendment came from the Magna Carta and the people that made it. The fifth amendment means the government cant hurt anyone they take. Also it means the government cant keep people secretly. The Magna Carta also has

inspired the U.S. to win the revolutionary war. It let them think about life being free would be. They thought would be awesome to have a government, reasonable taxes and vote who leads or in this case become president. They voted George Washington to become because he was a good leader. He inspired people to fight for the right to be free to their own religion. The Magna Carta has changed history for many all across the world. A lot of the Constitution was based on the Magna Carta. Like I said, the fifth amendment and a lot more religion rights. The Magna Carta gave many English more religious rights over King John. They were allowed to go to church and pray. Also King John was very cruel so that is why the English made the Magna Carta. They got fed up with King John and forced him to sign the Magna Carta and give religious freedom to the English. So to put all in to one tiny little statement, King John was a cruel king and he didnt give the English religious freedom so they got mad, made him sign the Magna Carta so they could get religious freedom and later on in the future people all over the world got religious freedom.
