Returning a library eBook: 1. Titles will automatically deleted on the due date.

To return the book early open ADE on your computer and select the book in Library View. Click on top left corner of book and select Delete Item.

Tips Find titles that are available now: Click Advanced Search on the menu bar at the top of the page. Select Adobe EPUB eBook or Adobe PDF eBook under format. Check the box only show titles with copies available.

How to Download a Library Book to Your Nook

Join a waiting list: You will receive an email when the title is available You will have 3 days to download the title.

Getting Started: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. On your computer go to www.charlottepubliclibrary.org and click the Listen Up! Vermont icon or go to www.listenupvermont.org. Click Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) icon on the right sidebar. Click Download Adobe Digital Editions to create a free Adobe account.

Scroll down screen and click Launch to Download the ADE software. Follow installation instructions and prompts to create an ADE account. Attach your Nook to your computer via USB port. Open Adobe Digital Editions on your desktop to authorize your Nook.

Signing In: 1. Return to www.listenupvermont.org and click sign in on the menu bar at the top of the page. Select Charlotte Library and type in 5445p followed by the last 4 numbers (no letters) of your library card. Stop in or call if you are not sure of your card number.

Searching for Titles: 1. Browse or search for eBook titles. Adobe EPUB and PDF files are Nook compatible. Titles that say ADD TO BASKET are available for checkout immediately Titles that say JOIN WAITING LIST are already checked out. If you choose to join the waiting list, you will receive an email when the title is available. 2. Click ADD TO BASKET next to the Adobe EPUB or PDF icon, then proceed to check out. Checking Out and Downloading a Book: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Once you have your selection(s) in your basket, click Proceed to Checkout. Choose a 7- or 14-day lending period. Click Confirm Checkout. Click Download. When prompted, click ok to open with Adobe Digital Editions. In ADE click on the Library View icon. Drag the book to the Nook icon. The book will now be available on your Nook. Eject Nook and remove USB cable. (For more help with searching see Tips on back of this pamphlet.)

Accessing library book on the Nook: 1. 2. Go to library and choose my My Files under My Stuff. Locate downloaded library books in Digital Editions folder. If title it is not there try restarting your Nook.
