Dec.

21, 2012 Interesting information I received recently- Robert Woods Johnson Foundation influence on tobacco control efforts and lack of media objectivity. Kaye Message received Dec. 17, 2012: ____________________________________________________ Fw: smoke filled News rooms??? Attached is the latest (generic) version of my graphic on the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation influence on tobacco control efforts. (See http://www.scribd.com/doc/117668051/Tobacco-Control-Funding ) I would like to see this reference posted next to the desk of anyone reporting on tobacco or the inter-related obesity control programs. There are serious questions that need to be asked of our friends in public health. 1. Where did the program finds originate? The MSA? RWJF? 2. Since these shame-based "behavioral control" programs are highly inefective, how does the chronic stress effect those who fail the program? 3. How does this effect the Veteran community? I'm concerned that even the balance and objectivity of the free press has been compromised.
