Trenching, Cable Laying, Cable Termination, Earthnig, Location Boxes Items


Excavating and refilling of trench after laying the cables to the level of ground with rammed P. Mtr. earth as per Drg.. No. (NR/S&T/CON/1. 1/97) so as not to form a drain 0.3 Mtrs. Wide & 1 Mtr. Deep on both side of the station alongside the track. It shall conform to the safe distance as per signalling and cable plan in all type of soil. It also includes clearance of routes of trees & bushes. Lesser depth due to site condition shall be paid proportionately (Cables will be supplied by Railways) Excavation and refilling of trench .3 mtr wide and 1.0 mtr deep from bottom of rail sleepers P/Mtr across the track. Track fittings including ballast etc to be restored to original after finishing the work Earth should be well rammed so as not to form a drain. Prices to be quoted for 1 mtr deep trench. Payment will be made in proportion to trench depth. During laying and trenching all precautions will be taken by contractor for safety of trains.This include laying of DWC pipe also. Horizontal boring under railway track/ road for laying 125 mm dia.,laying of DWC (Double Walled Corrugated) pipes at the depth of 1.4 meter to 2.1 meter from formation level (Level of earth below ballast) as per drawing and directed by engineer-in-charge by trenchless technology excluding the cost of DWC pipes. Size of the bore at any location for laying DWC pipes will be decided by Engineer in charge. (a) The cost shall include horizontal boring through any intermediate obstruction, either natural or man made or any bouldry strata. (b) The rate is inclusive of all the materials, equipments and labour required for doing trenchless horizontal boring under the railway track, Nothing extra shall be admissible on any account then the rates quoted above. (c) The pipes are to be laid under railway track/ road. All necessary arrangements are to be provided and all precautions are to be taken, so that bore coming out at other end is not deviated from the horizontal level line by more than 250 mm in horizontal or vertical direction. (d) The rates shall be inclusive of detection and protection of underground utilities encountered during boring. B. 2.17 Provision, preparation & fixing of bakelite Hylum sheet 910x600x6 mm and teak wooden shelf 900x450x25mm duly fixed by angle iron piece of different size inside the Apparatus Case. Hylum board shall be fixed on an angle iron frame of 25mm x 25mm x 3mm. Angle iron frame will be fixed in location boxes secured by nuts and bolts. This includes wiring, fixing, of fuses, ARA terminals, shelf type / Q series relays and other type of relays on square bars and jamming of cables with 2 inch thick Sal wood plank provided at the bottom. This will include opening, twisting and jamming armour of each cable in the hole drilled separately for each cable through the sal wood plank and all cable entry points on location boxes, location huts, Junction Boxes, relay room / battery room to be closed with suitable masonary works covered with sand and plastering with cement from top. This includes provision of lugs, eye joints, eyelets for termination of power cable.( size of hylum sheet to be adjusted in battery box if required) Writing description for terminals, drawing of circuits, inside Apparatus Case. Painting from out side as well inside with red oxide and aluminium paint is covered separately. Size of lettering will be 10mm or as per instructions of Engineer at site. All materials including teak wood shelf, hylum board, sal wood plank, angle iron square bar, flexible 16/0.20 or 3/. 029 wire and wiring like thimble, material for termination of power cables etc. as per the IRS spec, non-deteriorating type HRC fuses and bases, nuts and bolts and other items shall be supplied by the contractor. This will include following: -a) Jumpering from rail to rail or to track lead junction box including polarity jumpers/cables in ( case of point track circuit as per drg. No. NR / S&T / CON / 3.1.97 and as per insulation diagram. This includes terminating the jumpers in the TL JB and fixing the jumper on the sleeper as per instructions of Engr. at site. Fitting of GI pipe and laying of jumper cables through the pipe. One TL JBs to be provided extra for each polarity jumper/cable. All materials including G.I. pipe, Channel pins, Bond wires are to be supplied by the contractor. (b) Fixing of insulated block joints complete with provision of skimmed fishplate. Unskimmed fishplates shall be supplied by the Railways but skimming to be done by contractor.

(c) Fixing of TL JBs as per drg. No. NR / S&T / CON / 3.2.97 along with concrete foundation and plastering on both ends i.e. T.F. and TR end. All material for fixing including angle iron shall be supplied by the contractor. This also includes supply and fixing of fibre glassTL JBs as per Drg No. TS 8467 along with provision of M-6 terminals as per Drg No. 23745 Alt. 4 TL JB to be written with track circuit number. (d) Provision and wiring in the Apparatus Cases of T.F. battery charger, TF resistance 30 Ohm, track relays & batteries as per the standard practice using NDT fuses and terminals. This include all wiring materials, fuses, suitable antilittering arrangement for relays etc will be supplied by contractor. (e) Commissioning of track circuits as per provisions of Para of IRS spec. S -36/81. This includes adjustment of track feed resistance, testing with train shunt resistance. This also includes preparation of track history cards. 4.1 4.2

Signals
Casting, concreting and curing of foundation for main signal as per Dr. no. NR/S&T/CON/2. 1/97 all material such as anchor bolts, cement, sand aggregate to be supplied by contractor. Fixing of CLS surface base, bolting on the foundation. Erection of CLS post with signal unit on the top or on an off set bracket and fitting ladder and guard to the post at the top. Concreting ladder base and embedded into the ground with supporting bracket in the middle, blanking of the ladder for a distance of 1 feet between the height 6 9 and 7 9 from the rail level by MS angle and MS sheet 1.6mm thick wherever required. This includes provision of wooden (Sal) cross arm 1 mtr. x 1 mtr. for CLS unit prior to the commissioning or fixing of LED unit & hoods on CLS unit, wiring the CLS unit & fixing the signal. Elevation & distance of foundation from track shall be in accordance with Schedule of Dimension for Indian Railways published by Govt. of India and approved drawings. All items for the above works except items mentioned in Annexure B2 shall be supplied by the contractor including but not limited to the following items. (a) U bolt for offset brackets. (b) Wooden cross arm 1 mtr. x 1 mtr. (c) MS angle and MS sheet for blanking of ladder. (d) Wire mesh guard, lock for unit if required, nuts and bolts etc. for the following: (i) 3/4-aspect colour light signal. Supply & fixing of protective screen on signals with or without route indicators by expanded metal (size 20mm x 60 mm, strand 3.25mm wide and 1.6 mm thick) and earthing the screen of signal with MS flat 2" x 1/4" using G.I Nut bolts & washer as per RE standard. All materials required for this work to be supplied by contractor. (i) 3/4 Aspect Signals Supply of U lock with Key on CLS signal unit/ Shunt signal unit. Installation, erection and wiring of A marker Signal on the same post below main signal on offset bracket which also includes fixing of lenses / stencil, lamps and hoods, wiring and focussing of the Signal Offset brackets. U bolt for offset bracket and wire and wiring material will be supplied by contractor. Supply of Colour Light Signal Base 140mm dia. base, Signal Pole 4.6/5.2 M long and ladder 4.5 mtr/5.1 mtr, working platform and CLS 2/3/4 aspects unit complete with fittings (with off set if required) longer hood, ploycarbonate lenses clear Red Green and its fitting, locking with U lock etc. as per Spec. No. S-23/88, S-7/92, S-26/64,S-75/91,S-57/2005 with latest amendments or as applicable. 4 aspect as per drg no. 23003 a/m Supply of Colour Light Signal Base 140mm dia. base, Signal Pole 3.6 M long and ladder 3.5 mtr, working platform and CLS 2/3/4 aspects unit complete with fittings (with off set if required) longer hood, locking with U lock etc. as per Spec. Power Supply Arrangement

Fabrication, supply and fixing of battery shelves. Shelves are required to be fabricated with MS angle of size 50 x 50 x 6 mm in tier like steps and Sal wood battens of size 75x50 mm. Three battens at spacing of 25 mm each shall be used in each shelf and shall be supported by angle irons at a distance of 1 Meter or less and on both the ends. The angle iron shall be grouted vertically in the floor 250 mm and horizontally 150 mm inside the wall. Angles and planks are required to be painted with anti corrosive paints. (All materials to be supplied by the contractor) .Size of Shelve may vary from Relay hut to Relay hut and same be decided by engineer's representative.

No. NR / S&T / CON / 4. 1/97.) made Per MDF of angle iron size 45mm X 30mm X 5mm along with outer frame made of angle iron size 65mm X 65mm X 7mm duly fitted with ARA terminals, fuses, fuse holders on 6mm bakelite hylum sheet. Supply and fixing of hard wood of size 70cm X 25cm X 4cm in the back for jamming of cables Scaffoldings / cable carriers to be fabricated and supplied made of angle iron size 35mm X 35mm X 5mm and flat 25mm X 25mm as per instructions of Engineer at site. The space between two flats will be 25cm or less as per site requirement. All materials for provision of scaffoldings / cable carriers to be supplied by the contractor. All the fixing materials like bolts, nuts, washers, insulators, shoes, angle irons, concrete, ARA terminals 25mm centre / Terminal strips etc. will also be supplied by the contractor. This includes cleaning, priming, painting and writing by ISI mark paints.

8 8.1 Alteration work Fabrication and provision of domino type indication cum operating panel of exchangeable unit and cover plate with tag blocks /terminals. Wire, angle iron etc depicting the yard layout/ with signals, point,track circuit, operating/emergency push button counters, Sm's key housed in a steel metal cabinet as per instructions of engineer at site and as per approved panel diagram supplied by railways.This also includes supply and fixinf acrylic sheet on panel. the panel shall be minimum of 40x30 exchangable units of dominos of size54mmx35mm normal or as required at site ).
