6.2 Compare of theoretical concepts with the current practices being carried.
http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/
Theoretical concepts are somehow different from the original practices carried out in the ANAM weavings the LAN wiring scheme of some cat -5 cables are different and they were working properly. The software which is developed is not tested like it was written in the theories they only test it once and does not implement proper water fall model of software development. In accounts department the accounts are not entrained like we read in theories and while studding in MBA. Marketing department skips some process of product development in actual practices. All the theories are somehow changes and amended to ease the users and not properly implemented however if they will implement all theories in actual they can improve their productivity and performance.

Anam Weaving Mills have received ISO 9000, as well as ISO 14000 and mody certifications from internationally renowned ISO auditors. This is a big strength because the existence of non-harmonized standards for similar technologies in different countries or regions can contribute to so-called technical barriers to trade. Anam Weaving Mills , being export minded, have sensed the need to be certified, so that their clients in other countries are reassured of the quality of the product that Anam Weaving Mills offers is equal to or superior to the quality of an international standard.

4) Latest Machinery:Anam Weaving Mills Textiles have imported the latest machinery from Europe. Their machinery comprises of equipment used in spinning and weaving. BCG Growth-Share Matrix:-

The BCG matrix provides a structure for allocating resources among different businesses divisions and shows the comparison of all in a single chart. Yet, the approach has received some negative criticism for the following reasons:

The link between market share and profitability is questionable since increasing market share can be very expensive.

http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/

The approach may overemphasize high growth, since it ignores the potential of declining markets. The model considers market growth rate to be a given. In practice the firm may be able to grow the market.

ANAMWEAVING MILLS BCG GROWTH SHARE MATRIX

Air jet Looms Old shatter looms Relative Market Share

Explanation of above BCG growth share MATRIX:Cash Cow:ANAMWEAVING MILLS air jet looms has a large market shares in a mature, slow growing industry. Cash cows require little investment and generate cash that can be used to invest in other business units. Air jet Looms are cash cow for Anam Weaving mills.

Star:ANAMWEAVING MILLS has a large market share in a fast growing industry. Stars may generate cash, but because the market is growing rapidly they require investment to maintain their lead. If successful, a star will become a cash cow when its industry matures. Cotton fabric products, PC , PV fabrics are Star for ANAMWEAING MILLS.

http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/

Question Mark (or Problem Child):ANAMWEAVING MILLS has a small market share in a high growth market. ANAMWEAVING MILLS units require resources to grow market share, but whether they will succeed and become stars is unknown. New product range of ANAMWEAVING MILLS is categories in Question mark of ANAMWEAVING MILLS BCG GROWTH share Matrix.

Old shatter looms are DOG in the ANAMWEAVING MILLS BCG growth share matrix.

Porter five forces analysis:PORTER MODEL MODEL

http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/

Explanation of Porter five forces analysis:Porter five forces analysis are the very helpful for developing strategies in many industries. Porter five forces analysis is all about examine four forces, which keep on seminal and reshaping the business environment. These forces are political, economic, social and technological forces. For strategy formulation, strategists keenly consider the present and future impacts of these four forces. Porters five forces model of competitive analysis is a widely used approach According to Porter, the nature of competitiveness in a given industry can be viewed as a composite of five forces, which are shown in the diagram above.

Rivalry between competitors:Rivalry between competitors boosts the competition in any given industry. Perfect Competition also reduces the margin of profits in most cases but not in all cases. It contrasts from business to business. Competitors are trying to earn profits by creating the demand of the customers from using some of the strategies such as cost leadership & offering quality cotton fabric. Using Marketing segmentation and targeting to their target market through advertising their products regularly to raise the responsiveness of consumers and clients. if the market is very big and customer volume is high then profit margin would high it demands on the market and the customers volume. So we have analyzed that the rivalry among the competitors in this industry is high because large number of textile mills are producing cotton fabric and offering processing of the cotton fabric.

Substitute products:http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/
Substitutes effect could impact on the markets situation anytime substitute cotton fabric and other cotton related products like polyester can impact very hard on the market and profit margin and demand of the cotton fabric in given market.

Buyers Power:In Cotton fabric, we see buyers power is significantly high because customers are concentrated, large, or they are very price elastic because with the change in price customers would shift to other brands. That is reason buyers power is high. And this is the reason that the customers have substitute brands in the market. Therefore, their bargaining power represents a major force affecting intensity of competition in the in the market of Cotton fabric.

Supplier power:In Cotton fabric market, companies cannot do backward integration because of high setup costs of looms and related processing units. So the power of supplier or raw metrial like cotton, yarn etc in this industry is high because with an increase in the raw material prices the textile unit have to pay high price to the supplier and this reason leads to a high power of supplier.

New entrants:New entrants in he cotton market anytime could be very effective for the market because it could increases computation among competitors and it can get all the orders of existing companies it could also impact on profit ratio in normal condition the new entrance in the market of cotton and fabric reduce the profit margin of the existing textile mills and processing units. But a new comer in the industry will have to see the entry and exit barriers of the industry, which are rather unfavorable to a new entrant due to high investment as well as due to using an advance technology, with a great disadvantage of the existing competitors. So there are very minute chances of a new competitor in the textile mills industry.

http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/

ANSOFF MATRIX:The ANSOFF Growth Matrix is a marketing tool created by Igor ANSOFF. The matrix allows marketers to consider ways to grow the business via existing and/or new products, in existing and/or new markets there are four possible product/market combinations. This matrix helps companies decide what course of action should be taken given current performance. The matrix consists of four strategies:

Market Penetration:Market penetration occurs when a ANAM WEAVING MILLS enters/penetrates a market with current products. The best way to achieve this is by gaining competitors' customers (part of their market share). Other ways include attracting non-users of your product or convincing current clients to use more of your product/service, with advertising or other promotions.

Product Development:A firm with a market for its current products might embark on a strategy of developing other products catering to the same market., but frequently markets new burgers. Frequently, when a firm creates new products, it can gain new customers for these products. Hence, new product development can be a crucial business development strategy for firms to stay competitive.

http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/
Market Development (new markets, existing products): An established product in the marketplace can be tweaked or targeted to a different customer segment, as a strategy to earn more revenue for the firm. Diversification (new markets, new products): This resulted in the ANAM WEAVING MILLS entering new markets where it had no presence before.

EXPLANATION OF ANAMWEAVING MILLS ANSOFF MATRIX

ANSOFF matrixes of ANAMWEAVING MILLS project the plan, which ANAM WEAVING MILLS should follow to increase its sales and profits. ANAMWEAVING MILLS should follow the market penetration and market development strategy in order to increase its sales. ANAMWEAVING MILLS can penetrate a market through advertisement, discounts, etc which can raise its customer base, whereas it can extend its business to different countries like EURAPE, AMARICA , UK where there is demand for cotton fabrics are high from this ANAMWEAVING can move to new markets and enhance its sales and profits in the process.

Conclusion

During my internship in Anam weaving Mills MIS, Marketing, and accounts department. The major focus was on MIS department I learn windows installation, LAN WAN and other software and troubleshooting etc. I analysis different environment of Anam Weaving Mills like external and internal environment the marketing team of ANAMWEAVING MILLS is strong and take orders from all around the world and give it to production department after that production department produce the fabric according to the need of the clients and forward the produced fabric to the export department and export department export the fabric provide all invoices to the accounts department and accounts department recover the profit and maintain accounts of clients in all this process the MIS department is the major

http://vustudents.ning.com/
supporting department who help all the departments in all their process for maintaining digital database and providing quick access to safe data. Anam weaving Mill produces and export the cotton and all other type of fabrics all the policies are according to the need of vision and mission statement except the control and power all the powers are given to upper management and lower management and employees are not considered while making necessary and important decisions. All though there is some weakness of the ANAMWEAVING MILLS such as Seth culture, Weak R&D facilities, Lack of HR development, Too late decision making, Lack of marketing expertise, Location of production unit but the strength of ANAMWEAVING mills are covering these weaknesses. The Internal factor evaluation (IFE) matrix of ANAMWEAVING MILLS tells us the story of internal strength and weakness and the total score of Internal evaluation matrix of ANAMWEAVING is 2.72 which indicate a strong internal position of ANAMWEAVING MILLS. ANAMWEAVING MILLS has 2nd strong position in major competitors in market. That is a good sign of progress in compare to previous performance. the BCG growth share matrix shows that the new product range of anam could be next star for the company and can give huge amount of profit. In the ANAMWEAVING I observe that there is well-organized worker role to achieve the settled goals. Some workers do not do work hard in particularly labor sector of ANAMWEAVING mills used for production of cotton fabric manufacturing but higher level staff do work honestly. This will increase the output of ANAMWEAVING. They are absolutely necessary to complete and express clearly the order in time that ANAMWEAVING making ideas through which they manage their customers sound. I learn MIS things like networking, database, hardware and software troubleshooting and also get time to enhance my communication skills get experience in accounting and all other department which would be very helpful in my professional career.

2.

Recommendations
I recommend Anam weaving to distribute the controls from upper management to lower management.

http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/

ANAMWEAVING should start E-commerce trading and website for online markets to enhance its approach to international market to over come its weaknesses. Import latest machinery and maintain them properly to produce new verity. They should not depend on WAPDA for power source and make their own power sources like generators and all others things There are power load shading issues now a days in Pakistan which are destroying the organizations like Anam weaving Mill. Anam weaving should enhance his human resource and marketing hire more marketing staff which are experts in marketing to introduce their products in all over the world efficiently and make proper market plan for ANAMWEAVING.

Quality of service and production need to be improved should follow the international standards of guide lines for cotton fabric weaving.

Currently bonus is given only to Head office Staff such bonus and incentives must also be given to production staff.

Work over load should be managed properly on production staff so they will be motivated.

In processing section there is a need of skillful workers. There are some departments of processing in which human resources have been working since long time but their efficiency is not improved this things provide unsatisfactory results. The skilled labor will not only improve the efficiency but also will improve effectiveness. There should be chances given to skilled workers to enter the organization.

Anam weaving manager should try to reduce Seth culture from Anam weaving.

First aid and other medical amenities should be present to the employees in working time in the mill area. There is constant work in the mill and chances of accident or unpleasant incident are frequent. To manage this type of condition the

http://vustudents.ning.com/

http://vustudents.ning.com/
first aid dispensary and a doctor should be there to help the injure and week workers.
