Hello and welcome to my Advanced texture mapping tutorial. Lets get started. You might be doing this tutorial in accompanyment to the Project model tutorial, so I am using the human figure we made. Select all the faces pertaining to the head part. Figure 1 Figure 1
Now do Edit->Detach faces. You will notice that there is a face selected. Delete that face or you will have trouble later on. After detaching the face it should look like Figure 2. Now go into the solid editor mode and with grid snap on and the y axis locked, move the head over to the left like in Figure 3. Now get rid the rest of the objects you have on the screen by hiding them like Figure 4. Figure 2

Now go into the side view and select all the facial faces like in Figure 5. Now detach them and move them to the left like in Figure 6. My face had a remaining face, so I delete it like in Figure 7. Figure 5

Now in the side view, select the top of the head faces like in Figure 8. Now take the chin in Figure 9 and detach it and move it. Figure 8

Now select the back of the head faces in the SIDE VIEW like in Figure 10. Detach them like in Figure 11. Figure 10

EEK!! already 11+ images for this page...Gotta hurry up!! Ok, take the side of the head faces like in Figure 12 and detach them and move them. Notice I only did one side of the head. Figure 12
