Moscow, Russia. & ,94:76;46< za bor architects. & ,9;5& & 1100 sqm The Moscow office of Badoo, one of the most popular dating services in the world badoo.com - was created for web developers and focused on technical, not administrative function. The result is very impressive. In fact, the office is located in one of the most luxurious business centers in Moscow the Legend of Tsvetnoy, which is based in the city centre, on the well-known Tsvetnoy Boulevard (Arthitectural.com, 2012). The Badoo office has 122 open plan workplaces located alongside the glass walls around the buildings perimetre (Arthitectural.com, 2012). Such a design solution, addresses the clients requirement for staff interaction while maximizing light, views and open space. The inner space is divided only by structural columns and due to the natural texture of concrete, the columns were only covered with a transparent varnish. This textured concrete finish contrasts aptly with the walls clad in smooth timber paneling, sourced from a sustainable plantation. An addition of vibrant green foliage to the space brings life and texture to an otherwise monochromatic space. The open plan spaces, peppered by various pods and meeting rooms successfully meet the needs of the business. Lightweight replicas of London phone boxes, produced in Badoo identity colours, are used for their original purpose private phone calls. Continuing references to popular culture, and reflecting the playful nature of the dating site company, za bor Architects have themed meeting rooms around places where people usually meet. Including; Bar - where one wall has a spectacular lighting Night Club meeting room with one wall fully lined with posters Cinema room, complete with projector and heavy drapes =5>33&+;4;?6738& a small meeting room named the Park its flooring imitates the grass, which @!"#$%#&'#(")*+',-A&BC1BD& goes into the vegetation on the photo wallpaper, filmed specifically for this project), Library, in which there is no bookshelf or cabinet, and the books are hanging on the wall, ignoring gravity (Arthitectural.com, 2012). The projects Architects have also incorporated showers, a dining room, gym and coffee-points, all creating opportunities for employees recreation. Architects za bor have used witty details along side beautiful architecture, to make the interior sufficiently imposing, while still maintaining an interior that has no excessive formalism (Arthitectural.com, 2012).

Near the entrance there is a real bush natural plants cover one of the walls here. Next to them, always attracting attention, is a bright yellow statue of Manneken Pis (Little Man Pee) a kind of a joke at the interior architecture kitsch (Arthitectural.com, 2012).

Gummo Advertising Agency & 23456738 Wibautstraat 129 1091 GL Amsterdam, Netherlands. & ,94:76;46< i29 Architecture. & ,9;5& & 450 sqm As Gummo were only going to be renting the space on the first floor of the old Parool newspaper building in Amsterdam for two years, i29 convinced Gummo to embrace the mantra of reduce, reuse, recycle to create a stylish office space that would impact as little as possible on the environment or their wallets. They developed a theme that reflects Gummos personality and design philosophy simple, uncomplicated, no-nonsense, yet unquestionably stylish with a twist of humour (i29, dezeen.com 2009). By adopting the reduce, reuse, recycle the designer addressed the clients budgetary restrictions, while ensuring the materials used were sustainable. Atlas Interior Design could also apply this principle by sourcing second hand furniture when designing for their client Atelier Bow-Wow. i29 Architecture cleverly streamlined the different styles of old and new furniture by having everything spray painted with polyurea Hotspray (an environmentally friendly paint) to conform with the new colour scheme (i29 Architecture, archiDE, 2009). The effect conveys a slightly eccentric workspace, no doubt reflecting just how creative the client - an advertising agency - are. The funky flea market furniture and pool table scream fun! but the fact that everything is spraypainted dark grey says intellectual (Stylist.co.uk, 2013). The use of recreational furniture, such as the pool table installed into Gummos office, adds more than its actual function, it brings an added depth and texture to the usual array of standard office furniture. Atlas Interior Design can lend some of this playful feel when designing a Think Tank for their client Atelier Bow-Wow Architects. Everything in the (Gummo) office conforms to the new house style of white and grey(i29 Architecture, archiDE, 2009). The office is cleverly divided using its colour scheme, and just a few half-height partitions. The workstation areas flooring and furniture are all colour coordinated in dark grey, while the dividing walk ways and perimeter walls contrast in a stark white. The result is an open plan, with areas custom-built for each function (library, workstations, photocopying/printing, recreation etc). All of this is presented in such a way that it seems uncomplicated and easy to function within. & & & & &
