Scientific mysteries and

inventions for everyone
AldrichPears was one of three winning firms in an
international exhibit design competition for the proposed
Guangdong Science Center.
As part of the winning submission, our firm created concepts
and designs for five large exhibition galleries. The Science
Detective gallery challenges visitors to solve mysteries
related to crime, archeology and nature. The Dream of
Spaceflight gallery inspires the next generation to engage in
space exploration. The Eye Wide Opener gallery encourages
visitors to explore phenomena they cannot see with an
unaided eye. The Invention and Design gallery lets visitors
tinker, play and use their imaginations in an inventors
workshop where they can make their own inventions
at experiment stations. The Childrens gallery contains
recreated world ecosystems. In this gallery, children embark
on voyages of discovery from the highest mountains and
dense rainforests to vast open grasslands.
