TYPES OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

1. According to Business
I. Business Entrepreneur: Conceives the idea of a new product or service. Example: GMG Airlines. II. Trading Entrepreneur: Buys finished products from producers and directly or indirectly resell those to customers. Example: Kollol Group of Industries. III. Industrial Entrepreneur: Sets up industrial units. Example: Hamdard Laboratories (waqf) Bangladesh. IV. Corporate Entrepreneur: Plans, develops and manages a corporate body through a board of directors. Example: Grameenphone. V. Agricultural Entrepreneur: Engages in agricultural activities. Example: ACME, PRAN.

2. According to Motivation
I. Pure Entrepreneur: Works for ego/status, motivated with psychological/monetary rewards. Example: Professor Abdul Momen, one of the founders of Pride Group, Bangladesh. II. Induced Entrepreneur: induced to enter in an entrepreneurial position through active or passive motivation. Example: Mr. Shama-e Zaheer took over his fathers duties at Mir Group (where his father was one of the primary entrepreneurs) after his untimely death.

3. According to Technology
I. Technical Entrepreneur: Develops new and improved quality goods with skills. Example: Walton. II. Non-technical Entrepreneur: Promoter and seller of new industrial units. Example: Mr. Latifur Rahman of Transcom Group. III. Professional Entrepreneur: Sets up new business but does not run; develops alternate projects. Example: Shahjallal International Airport.

4. According to Development
I. First Generation Entrepreneur: Innovates and combines different technologies/processes to produce marketable goods and services. Example: RahimAfroz Bangladesh. II. Second Generation Entrepreneur: Suppliers or sellers of goods and services. Example: Transcom Group. III. Classical Entrepreneur: Someone who aims at maximizing returns at a level consistent with the survival of the firm.
