Jumaa Prayer
for the Muslims of Africa and beyond
Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him (La 3:25). The Lord was ready and eager to receive us when we sought Him, and He is ready and eager to receive Muslims who seek Him! Pray this week that many will find in Jesus the Truth they are seeking.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries

SENEGAL: Pray for the quick release of two Brazilian missionaries held in prison since 6 November. They operate a ministry to street children and were arrested 6 November when a father complained that his son had heard the gospel. A lawyer the missionary had hired to register the children with the government admitted a few days ago that he did not do his job. When the missionary was given a chance to file a complaint against this man, he forgave him. The two are awaiting the answer to requests for their release. The ministry is still running but is being watched. TOGO: An alumnus reports that his church, in a Muslim neighborhood, recently gave supplies to needy schoolchildren. This and other outreaches of the church have resulted in good relationships with their neighbors. Pray that as they see the love of Jesus through these believers, Muslims will turn to Him.

In the News
SUDAN: Efforts to rid the country of Christians and their influence are intensifying. Church buildings have been razed, foreign Christians deported, Christian schools closed, and, most recently, a Christian literature center raided and all materials confiscated (see story at http://bit.ly/15if3XF). At least 97% of Sudan's people are Muslim, and its President intends to make Sudan a fully Islamic state under sharia law. Please pray for President Al-Bashir and his government, that the Lord will work in their hearts. Pray for Christians living there, that they may be salt and light to the 25 million Muslims of Sudan. KENYA: Pray for peaceful national elections on Monday, 4 March. Islam is growing in this Christian-dominated country, and several counties will likely push for sharia law. For more information, see http://bit.ly/YXfLEn.

From Global Initiative*

Pray for house churches in closed Muslim countries with no window to outside ministry. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the leaders of these churches, that they may establish people in sound doctrine and equip them to reach others. Pray that new believers will quickly overcome the anti-Christian teachings they have grown up with and embrace God's truths as they learn from His Word and His Spirit.

For Muslim Women**

Please pray for a follower of Jesus, A., whose Muslim fathers side of the family has found her. She is afraid. Pray that in the midst of this storm, A. will see things clearly and not be rattled by chaos or fear. Pray that her entire family will know Jesus.
