MYP Unit Question: Are there different shading techniques ? What is the difference between tone and shade?

Specific Objectives: To further improve colour mixing and paint control skills To develop skills of drawing in 1 point perspective To develop enlargement skills To develop tonal shading skills in pencil and soft pastels To improve observational drawing skills To develop creativity and imaginative work. To produce a mixed media composition using all of the above skills Content: 1. Explore and learn how to draw using 1 point perspective. 2. Create a 1 point perspective chess board. 3. Choose a colour and paint in your chess board using different tone of this colour 4. Select a chess piece and do an enlarged observational drawing of it with shading 5. Select another chess piece and experiment with 3 colour tonal shading
