My name is Sean Duncombe, and I am your candidate for Component Trustee. I am a Flight Attendant and I began my career at Air Canada in 2008. I have been proud since day one to work with so many dedicated faces out there. In the face of not always great working conditions and I am impressed each every pairing on how people quickly adapt and are able to turn around bad situations into good, deal with emergencies and still manage to impress Air Canadas customers. Every flight I work on I give 120% of myself, I am a strong team player I have a very positive outlook on life which is reflected in my personality and sense of humor, and I am a meticulous organizer always looking to make other crew members jobs easier. Let me bring that energy and enthusiasm and especially hard work to the table as your elected component trustee. I would like to give back to you, and dedicate my time to ensuring that the hard work you put in each time you step on that plane does not go to waste. Most importantly I want to ensure that every dime you put into our union is spent wisely and according to the guidelines established, I want to ensure component officers are fiscally responsible with your monies. To provide suggestions on improvements and optimize the way business is done! As President/Founder of two online, I have built up a wealth of professional experience dating back to 2006. I have developed a set of skills, such as business financial planning, assessing and auditing my own investments and disinvestments as well as quarterly earnings and taxes. I have developed my own organizational system for keeping down overhead costs , Before becoming a Flight Attendant I worked as a Business Analyst in 2007-2008 for ROI Vision, compiling reports and connecting international and local businesses with benefits and perks provided by government economic development agencies, compiling accurate financial reports to be presented to directors and elected governmental officials. While on layoff in 2008 I took several business and financial related courses at Concordia University that solidified my understanding further of proper financial planning, stock investment, debt management, and how properly prepare budgets and expense reports. My past experiences have shaped who I am today; a very strong sense of work ethnics, someone with a keen sense of organizational skills, a passion for anything finance related, integrity and a sound business mind.
