Running the CD-ROM A) IBM PC compatible system The Minimum system requirement is a Pentium 233 MMX multimedia computer with 32 MB RAM with a display of 800X600 pixel resolution, CD-ROM drive, sound card, and speakers OS: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 B) Installation There is no installation programme as this CD-ROM is an auto run unit. Just insert SVS CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive, the programme starts automatically. This programme runs only from the CD-ROM. If the auto-run programme does not function or disabled, click on "SVS.exe" icon. C) Contents This CD-ROM contains Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam multilingual multimedia content i n the first track and the complete audio of the temple rendering in the second t rack. A) Audio CD This CD-ROM can also be heard as an audio CD in any audio CD system to listen to the Temple rendering of Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam. For listening to only to aud io track of Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam, Select and Play the second track in your audio system. 2. Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam A) Introduction Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam is rendered everyday in the early morning at Tirumala temple of The Lord of Seven-hills. This is the first ritual of waking up the Lor d every morning. These 70 slokas are divided into four divisions known as Sri Venkatesa Suprabhat am,Sri Venkatesa Stotram, Sri Venkatesa Prapatti and Sri Venkatesa Mangalasasana m. Sriman Prativadi Bhayankara Annan, a great disciple of Sri Manavala Mamuni compo sed Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam. These slokas have a great lyrical charm and evoke great sense of devotion.Reciti ng these slokas in the early morning will lead to improved level of intelligence . Play Modes

1. Continuous Play: By pressing the Play button at the start in Continuous mode, all the 70 slokas w ill be rendered from the start. 2. Interactive Play: By pressing the Play button at the start in interactive mode, any one of the sel ected sloka in the 70 slokas can be viewed. This mode helps the viewer to learn one sloka at a time. The play button will play the sloka as many times as select ed. B) Four Divisions 1. Sri Venkatesa Suprabhatam has 29 slokas of prayer for waking up the Lord. This division can be seen by pressing the top bar button Suprabhatam 2. Sri Venkatesa Stotram has 11 slokas extolling the great qualities of the Lord . This division can be seen by pressing the top bar button Stotram 3. Sri Venkatesa Prapatti has 16 slokas seeking surrender to the Lord and forgiv eness. This division can be seen by pressing the top bar button Prapatti 4. Sri Venkatesa Mangalasasanam has 14 slokas praying for success and long life to the Lord, for the Lord is not different from the creation. This division can be seen by pressing the top bar button Mangalasasanam C) Play / Stop The play and stop button is a two-function toggle switch in continuous mode. The first click starts Suprabhatam rendering and the next click on the same butt on stops the play. Play button starts from the first sloka of the selected division in continuous m ode. It plays only the selected sloka in interactive mode. D) Quit Clicking the Quit button exits the programme. E) Volume control The Volume control button is to increase or decrease the volume of the rendering the slokas F) Picture and Meaning buttons Clicking on the Picture button will display relevant picture of the current slok a. Clicking the Meaning button will display the meaning of the current sloka in the selected Language. G) Credit and Help Buttons

By on clicking the Credit button the details of the development team are seen. Click on the Back button from credits file, brings back to Suprabhatam programme . By clicking on the Help button this help file is opened. Click Close button from Help file, brings back to Suprabhatam programme. H) Language options The language mode button is a drop down menu leading to the selection of a langu age button from the menu. The current lists of languages are English, Tamil, Tel ugu, Kannada Malayalam and Hindi. The default text is English. The text of the sloka and mean ing of the sloka can be seen in the language selected. One can change the langua ge button while the slokas are being rendered. This drop down menu can be accessed in any mode I) Rendering options The rendering button is also a drop down menu button, with two audio options. First button is the audio of Temple rendering and the second button is the music al rendering of the slokas. Sriman Anantasayanam and the TTD Veda parayanadars rendered the slokas in the te mple rendering and Vidushi Smt. R. Vedavalli rendered the musical version of Sri Venkatesa Suprabha tam. This drop down menu can be accessed in any mode. J) Play Mode The drop down menu of the play mode has two options. First button is a Continuou s mode playing S V Suprabhatam continuously from the beginning to the end. The s econd button is an Interactive mode leading to a quick navigation. The quick navigation wheel has a Q button in the centre with four buttons of dir ection arrows. Click on the Q button leads to a Quick navigation screen with 70 numbers for 70 slokas. By pressing any one of the numbers, that particular sloka can be listened once by pressing the play button. The left button leads to the previous sloka and right button leads to next sloka. The top button leads to the first sloka of each division and the bottom button leads last sloka of each div ision. 3. Krishi Krishi is a multimedia and web design lab based in Chennai. Krishi is presently developing web sites for various temples in South India. Krishi has already prod uced an interactive multilingual multimedia CD-ROM on Sri Andal's Tiruppavai. Krishi is presently de veloping CD-ROMs on Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam, Sri Hanuman Challeesa, Purusha sukt am and Rudram. Many more religious titles are under production. 4. Team
