SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES

Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If signs/symptoms persist, get medical attention. Wash skin with soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. If signs/symptoms develop, get medical attention. Remove person to fresh air. If breathing has stopped apply artificial respiration. Get medical attention immediately. Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.

SECTION 5 - PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Personal Protective Equipment:

Use positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus, supplied air breathing apparatus, or cartridge respirator approved for organic vapors where concentrations may exceed exposure limits (note: cartridge respirator not suitable for oxygen deficiency or IDLH situations) Viton (nitrile adequate for short exposure to liquid) SCBA, SABA or cartridge respirator approved for organic vapours.

Gloves: Respiratory:

Eye: Footwear: Clothing: Engineering Controls:

Chemical splash goggles As per safety policy. As per fire protection policy Use only in well ventilated areas. Mechanical ventilation required in confined areas equipment must be explosion proof. Stop leak if safe to do so. Use personal protective equipment. Use water spray to cool containers. Remove all ignition sources. Provide explosion proof clearing ventilation, if possible prevent from entering confined spaces. Dyke and pump into containers for recycling or disposal. Notify appropriate regulatory authorities. Contact appropriate regulatory authorities for disposal requirements.

Leaks & Spills:

Waste Disposal: Handling Procedures & Equipment:

Avoid contact with liquid. Avoid inhalation. Bond and ground all transfers. Avoid sparking conditions. .

Storage Requirements:

Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from heat, strong sunlight, and ignition sources.

SECTION 6 - FIRE FIGHTING MESURES OSHA: Extinguishing agent:

Classified as flammable. Class B fire extinguishing media such as CO2 or foam is recommended. Water spray is recommended to cool or protect exposed materials or structures. Water may be ineffective for extinguishment unless used under favorable conditions by experienced Fire fighting should be attempted only by those who are adequately trained and equipped with proper protective equipment.

Unusual fire and explosion hazard:

This material is flammable and can be ignited by heat, sparks, flames, or other sources of ignition. Vapors may travel considerable distance to a source of ignition where they can ignite, flashback, or explode. May create vapor/air explosion hazard indoors, in confined spaces or outdoors. Vapors are heavier than air and can accumulate in low areas. If container is not properly cooled, it can rupture in the heat of a fire.

SECTION 7 - TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF PRODUCT Routes of Entry: Skin Absorption: Skin Contact: Eye Contact: Inhalation: Acute: Chronic: Ingestion:

Effects of Acute Exposure: Vapour may cause irritation of eyes, nose and Contact with skin: Contact with eyes: Effects of Chronic Exposure:
throat. May cause irritation and possibly dermatitis. Absorbed through intact skin. Contact of liquid with eyes may cause severe irritation.

Due to presence of benzene and n-hexane, long term exposure may increase the risk of anemia, leukemia and nervous system damage. No Yes None reported Possibly Possibly Possibly

Sensitization to Product: Irritancy: Synergistic Materials: Reproductive Effects: Teratogenicity: Mutagenicity:

SECTION 8 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Emergency: Response spill procedure

Evacuate all dangerous contact objects and eliminate all spark ignition sources. Evacuate personnel and contact the emergency spill response team . Contain spill. Absorb with an inert absorbent and disposed the used absorbent appropriately. The appropriate responsible body should address all leaks.

Small spill or leak:

Page6

Large spill or leak:

Large pools may be covered with appropriate absorbent to contain the spill. The contained spill should be removed with an explosion proof vacuum-cleaning machine. The appropriate responsible body should address all leaks.

SECTION 9 - HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling:

Put on appropriate personal protective equipment (see section 8). Workers should wash hands. and face before eating, drinking and smoking. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not ingest. Use with adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate respirator when ventilation is inadequate. Store and use away from heat open flame or any other ignition source.

Storage:

Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in a segregated and approved area. Store away from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well- ventilated area away from incompatible materials (see section 9 ). Eliminate all ignition sources Separate from oxidizing materials. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabeled containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination

SECTION 10 - REACTIVITY DATA Stability: Conditions of Reactivity:

Stable under normal storage conditions. Contact with incompatible materials. Sources of ignition.

Page7

Incompatible Materials: Hazardous Decomposition Products: Hazardous polymerization:

Strong acids. Strong oxidizers. Chlorine. Oxides of carbon. Oxides of nitrogen. Aldehydes. Hazardous sulphur dioxide and related oxides of sulphur may be generated upon combustion.

Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous polymerization will not occur

SECTION 11 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION Control Measures:

Use only with adequate ventilation. Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep worker exposure to airborne contaminants below any or statutory limits. The engineering controls also need to keep gas, vapor or dust concentrations below any lower explosive limits. Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period. Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reusing.

Hygiene measures:

Personal protection Eyes:

Avoid contact with eyes. Safety glasses with side shields or chemical goggles are needed. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Wear Tyvek protective suit. Use adequate and certified vapor respirator. Appropriate self-supporting breathing apparatus should be worn at the moment.

Skin and body: Respiratory:

Hands:

Wear protective gloves. (Nitrile or Polyethylene)

SECTION 13 - DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Waste information:

The generation of waste should be avoided or minimized wherever possible. Empty containers or liners may retain some product residues. This material and its container must be disposed of in a safe way. Dispose of surplus and non-recyclable products via a licensed waste disposal contractor. Disposal of this product, solutions and any byproducts should at all times comply with the requirements environmental protection and waste disposal legislation and any regional local authority requirements. Avoid material runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
