Riverhawk Shooting Sports Liability Waiver

In consideration for participating in the Riverhawk Shooting Sports, I release for myself and my heirs all members of the Riverhawk Shooting Sports, its officers, its advisors, and Northeastern State University. Department, sponsors, officials, referees, land owners, other supporters, and their agents and employees (Supporters) from all claims, demands, liabilities, damages or causes of action (including attorneys fees and court costs), of any nature including claims for death, injury or illness, arising out of my participation in the club and club activities. THIS INDEMNITY AND RELEASE SPECIFICALLY INCLUDES A RELEASE OF, AND AN INDEMNITY FOR THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES AND PARTICIPANTS. I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree that shooting sports involve a degree of danger and that property damage, personal injury and/or death may result there from, and as a result also agree to indemnify and release the Supporters from all such claims arising in strict liability as a result of any defective product and/or firearm that may cause injury to me during my participation in the club and club activities. I hereby grant full permission to use my name and any photographs, videotapes, or other records of club and club activities for any purpose. I, the undersigned, acknowledge by my signature that I have read, understand, and agree to comply with the NSU Policy on Weapons, Riverhawk Shooting Sports club Safety Guidelines, Riverhawk Shooting Sports club By-Laws, Rules and Safety Regulations, Northeastern State University policies regarding student organizations, Rules and Safety Regulations.
Mandatory Gun Safety: 1. All uncased guns will be handled with actions open and muzzles up or in a safe direction. All guns will be placed in the gun rack with actions open unless shooter is in a shooting stand. 2. Mandatory eye and ear protection. All shooters must wear eye and ear protection within 5 yards of the firing line. 3. The consumption of alcohol and/or drugs prior to or during shooting is strictly prohibited. 4. Targets may only be engaged in with the gun being held in proper position. 5. Shooters may only discharge firearms while at the firing line, under supervision of Referee. 6. No more than two (2) rounds may be loaded at anytime and the gun may only be loaded while the shooter is in their assigned shooting stand. 7. Absolutely no guns can be transported in a horizontal manner. 8. It is your responsibility to report any unsafe shooting condition immediately to Officials.
