USE OF ENGLISH PART 2 OPEN CLOZE/1

Read through the text carefully. Focus on the word(s) before and after a blank space. What part of speech is the missing word (eg. a noun, a verb, an auxiliary verb, an adjective, a preposition, an article, etc.)? If you are going to use a verb, focus on the verb(s) before and after a blank space. What tense/verb form do you need to use (eg. present simple, past simple, present perfect, past perfect, passive, modal verb, etc.)? If you are going to use a noun, is it singular or plural? Is the missing word part of a collocation (eg. take advantage of)? Only use one word in each blank space (eg. visit a museum, not go to a museum). Dont use contractions. Check meaning: does the phrase/sentence make sense? Check spelling (eg. tragedies, not tragedys). Read the whole text when you have filled in all the gaps and make sure it makes sense.
