Position Description:
Argon ST has many internship/co-op positions available. These positions will allow the students to gain on
the job experiences that compliment their course of study. The internship positions run during the
summer while co-op positions will have the terms starting in January, May, or August. The co-op positions
are scheduled to be 2-3 terms in length based upon the student's availability and work performance. All
interns and co-ops will work 40 hours a week and will be paid a competitive hourly rate. Housing
assistance may be available.
DSP Engineer: Designing and implementing algorithms for advanced, real-time signal processing and
FPGA applications using C/C++ and MATLAB.
Embedded Software Engineer: Developing component-based software, device drivers, device control,
reusable real-time software components, and real-time hardware/software interfaces using C++, CORBA,
and OOA/D.
High-Level Software Engineer: Developing interactive user interfaces and multithreaded "middle tier"

server software, using modern software technologies, such as Java, XML, SOAP, and OOA/D.
Applications Software Engineer: Developing applications using Java, C/C++, Qt, OOA/D, VxWorks,
Windows, and Unix.
RF Engineer: Designing radio frequency (RF) receivers for advanced electronic warfare and
communications applications. Designing, specifying, and measuring RF components and antennas for use
in direction finding radar intercept systems.
Digital Design Engineer: Developing DSP algorithms and high-speed data transfer architectures targeted
for FPGA implementation. Language skills include VHDL, Verilog, and MATLAB.
Basic Qualifications:
US citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a high level government security clearance required (level of clearance required may vary
based upon position).
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required.
Must be currently enrolled in an Bachelors or Masters program with a major in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineer, Computer Science or related field.
Ability to work in the DC Metro area (Fairfax, VA or Newington, VA) required.
All co-ops must be able to work at least 2 co-op terms.
