ABSTRACT
With the ongoing telecom revolution where innovations are taking place at a rapid rate it is impossible to keep pace with the emerging trends. In organization where making things right in the first instance is the main motive. Excellence is in the attitude with which the whole human race is born with. It is the environment that makes sure that whether the result of this attitude is visible to others or not. A well planned, properly executed industrial training helps a lot in inculcating a professional attitude. It provides a linkage between the student and the industry to develop the awareness of industrial approach to problem solving process. During this period I got the real, firsthand experience of working in actual environment. This training report deals with ALCATEL 1000 E10 (OCB-283), its features, basic architecture, its working, its connectivity to both digital and analog subscribers. It also deals with processing of calls and various control stations. Dealing with the BSNL OCB exchange was one such experience which basically makes clear how these new modular exchanges are versatile and durable. Apart from this, new technologies are also shared and dealt practically.
