The main problem being faced by most of the educational firms is the lack of ability of the institutions to respond to the technology changes that have been happening in the present day competitive scenario. The solution for this problem is to outsource the technology activities in the colleges like simulation labs designing and maintenance to the firms which are dedicated to cater these services. The costs the institutions have to spend on these activities would be lesser when the outsourcing method has been followed rather than doing it of their own. As these firms main function of the business is to provide products that are built with cutting edge technologies, the quality of the products will also be better than to the self designed products by the college. Learning Tree was founded in 1995 by a group of Software professionals along with some prominent persons in the education field. Learning Tree is an Educational firm specialized in designing and managing simulation labs in educational institutions. We help educational institutions implement their goals and strategies through the successful design and management of simulation labs. This includes seeking the requirements of the institution, designing the labs according to their needs, implementing and managing the labs. Colleges can fully utilize the services of our firm during the contract period.

Introduction:
Learning Tree is a private education firm providing learning solutions to academic institutions all over the globe. We design software and simulations for educational purposes. We have a lot of clients in the education sector to whom we have designed the simulations and we have also maintenance contracts with those institutions. Our simulations are made with cutting-edge technologies which could cater the demands of the present day education needs. Reliability and robustness are the main features of our software products. The main problem being face by most of the educational institutions in the present day competitive world is to get upgraded with the advanced technologies. These days, the education system is framed in such a way that students aim only at securing marks and fail to attain the practical knowledge which will help them in the long run. Our organization aims at bridging this gap and ensuring that the students get what they exactly require out of the syllabus.

Statement of need:
These days most of the colleges have been ranked based on the advancement of technologies being used in the institutions. The more is the latest technologies used, the more could be the learning opportunities for the students for their growth. Especially, to get practical knowledge on the things that students have learnt in the classes, they attend labs. So, those labs must reflect the things in the industrial environment. The continuous up gradation of technology in the labs by the educational institutions frequently is hardly possible for any institution because the technology is changing in everyday life. So, firms like Learning Tree have emerged to cater the technology needs of the educational institutions

Project Description:
We have been providing these services to most of the top educational institutions in the country and abroad. For the details of those colleges, you can refer to the Organization Information provided at the end of the proposal. We have a wide range of simulation lab products which were given below: 1. Learning Tree Project Lifecycle. 2. Learning Tree Project Management. 3. Learning Tree Portfolio Implementation. 4. Learning Tree HRM 5. Learning Tree Risk Management. 6. Learning Tree Procurement Management. These are the six products that we have designed specifically for the management colleges. We have updated all the above products and hence newer versions of those products are also available. Also, we are able to provide the simulation software according to the needs of the clients.

Project Management:
The project will be carried out in three phases which are as follows: As a primitive step, we will analyze the existing curriculum followed by the business school to ensure that our software tools are in proper alignment with the syllabus so as to ensure the effectiveness of the simulation which we are to provide in the laboratories. Study on all other feasible enhancements required for the syllabus followed by the institution will also be conducted and reports will be presented periodically. In the second step, as a part of the marketing strategy, live demos will be conducted in the business school to the students and the faculty to let them know about the use of the software and also what the simulation lab intends to offer to them through the software provided by us. This will also provide a roadmap in setting up the software in the institution successfully and will also make the students and faculty get acquainted with the software and simulation. In the final step all the 6 modules along with the enhancement portals will be installed as part of the simulation lab. The installation will take place over a time period of 1 week. Once the installation is done, the portal will also be opened so that the faculty can add their additional requirements whenever needed which are provided within 24 hours through the portal. The three steps will be conducted over a span of 15 days and the simulation lab will be ready for use. The portals will play a crucial role in communication between the institution and us.

Budget:
The setting up of the simulation lab will cost approximately 5,00,000 INR. The break-up will be provided once the proposal is accepted by the institiution.

Appendix Implementation of simulation will be done using the java servlets. UNIX platform will be employed. The module is portable i.e. can be used from windows, Linux, UNIX operating systems. It can be further upgraded to the new upcoming versions.
