SYSTEM COMPONENTS
A broken hydraulic line spews flammable fluid onto a hot engine igniting a fire. State-of-the-art Kidde infrared optical detectors spot the fire within milliseconds, before it has a chance to threaten the operator or cause damage to the vehicle.
The Kidde KVS-2020 control panel, mounted in the vehicle cab, triggers an alarm to alert the operator and activates the first suppression system which discharges fire-killing dry chemical into the engine compartment, securing the protected area.
The secondary fire suppression system (containing dry chemical, AFFF or the Kidde Arctic Green freeze-protected wet agent) discharges, cooling and securing the protected area.
