INVITATION
St Xaviers College, Hathroi Fort Road, Jaipur takes pleasure in inviting you to register, contribute papers and participate at our Second National Conference on Management Strategies and Innovation. The conference aims to provide a platform for academicians, research scholars and practising professionals to develop, contribute and present papers on contemporary and innovative management strategies. The event will help in bringing together executives from the industry and academicians to meet, discuss and exchange views as well as experiences.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE


Management faces multiple challenges and threats today, such as, obsolete work methods, narrow social perspectives, concern for mere profit and efficiency, turbulent environments and changing human values. Survival of the fittest is one maxim that has not fallen out of currency yet. Faced with such adverse circumstances, managers are constantly trying to harmonize diverse organizational dimensions such as people, technology, culture and ethics and businesses by adapting to new challenges and continue to strive and prosper in this globalized economy. This task in not so facile and the pursuit of excellence is equated with competitive advantage. Old practices and systems that have evolved over time are no longer relevant and need to be customized to present needs. Innovation is the key to gaining and maintaining this competitive advantage. Every function of management, be it advertising, sales promotion, green initiative, accounting and corporate governance, market and trade in general, and the whole manner in which business is conducted has witnessed innovation and improvisation. This conference is an attempt to examine what is taking place in the corporate world.

CALL FOR PAPERS


Original and unpublished research papers/articles based on extensive case studies and analysis of best practices in the form of empirical and analytical research are invited from academicians, research scholars, consultants and management practitioners. There would be three technical sessions covering the sub-themes as listed below. However, all papers/articles should contribute to the central theme of the conference.

GUIDELINES FOR PAPER SUBMISSION


Selection of papers for presentation will be based on detailed abstracts of maximum 250 words. Abstracts must include a clear indication of the purpose of research, methodology, major results and implications and should be sent through email. The author(s) should clearly mention under what category of the conference, the paper is to be included. They should adhere to the following:

The paper should have the following format a. Introduction b. Review of literature c. Objectives of research work d. Methodology e. Main text and finding f. Conclusion g. References Note: Paper contributing significantly to the theme shall be published in an edited volume bearing ISBN No

Registration Fee* Categories of participants


Fee Academicians 600 Research scholars 300 Students 100 Corporate delegates 1000 Fee is inclusive of conference kit, lunch and tea during the conference. Registration fee should be sent through demand draft in favour of St Xaviers College, Jaipur payable at Jaipur. Payment mode shall be the same for local delegates also.

Transportation & Accommodation


Participants are requested to make transportation and accommodation arrangements on their own. No TA & DA will be paid. However outstation participants will be provided accommodation on payment basis only.

Certification
Certificates are in keeping with the mode participation. Certification shall be awarded for paper presentation, contribution (paper submission in absentia), and against attendance. All certificates shall be given on 10th February, 2013.
