van remotes * Step 1: Collect all remote keyless entry devices you wish to program. Purchase rem otes on eBay, from a Chevy dealership or online if you need additional or replac ement devices. Check that the remotes you purchase have matching styles in terms of number of buttons, the number (1, 2, 3 or 4) shown on the back, and whether there is a red horn button. * Step 2: Remove the key from the ignition. Open the front passenger door and remove the BCMPRGM fuse. The fuse panel legend shows which fuse this is. * Step 3: Close the doors, lift the gate and put the key in the ignition, then turn the ignition lock cylinder once toward you; not in the direction to start the en gine. This puts the ignition lock cylinder in the ACC position. Quickly turn the ignition lock cylinder to the OFF position and then back to the ACC position. D o this turn in about one second. * Step 4: Open and close a door; the driver's door is probably the easiest. A chime sounds denoting the system is in the programmable mode. Press and hold "Lock" an d "Unlock" on the device at the same time for 14 seconds total or until you hear two chimes confirming successful programming. This erases all other remote code s and you now need to program any other keyless Chevy remotes you wish to use fo r this vehicle using the same steps. * Step 5: Remove the key from the ignition lock cylinder once programming is complet ely finished and reinstall the BCMPRGM fuse. Use the legend on the fuse panel to properly locate the "BC MPRGRM" fuse. 4.

4 Close the liftgate. 5. 5 Get in and close all the doors. 6. 6 Insert key into the ignition, and turn the ignition lock cylinder to ACC ( one click towards you - the opposite direction from starting the engine). 7. 7 Turn the ignition lock cylinder to OFF, and then back to ACC within one se cond. 8. 8 Open and close any vehicle door. A chime will be heard when the system ent ers programming mode. 9. 9 Press and hold the transmitter "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons simultaneously for about 14 seconds. Important: After 7 seconds a chime may be heard confirming successful synchronization. It is necessary to wait approximately 14 seconds fo r a second chime that will confirm successful programming. Your new remote has b een accepted and all existing remote codes have been erased. 10. 10 Repeat the previous step on each additional transmitter to be programmed ( incuding any existing transmitters) 11. 11 Re-install the "BCMPRGRM" fuse into the fuse panel.
