Modifying equipment for more productive underground usage.
Issue: Steep slopes of rapid declines meant it was difficult to achieve optimal efficiency with standard shotcrete units Solution:  Change gear ratio and improve boom displacement pump for better application of shotcrete Results:  More efficient site access, designed for a steeper slope so less mechanical issues, more effective shotcrete coverage, shorter in-cycle times

Re-deploy of equipment to maximise productivity

Issue: Delay in start to project due to unforseen circumstances meant equipment was idle Solution:  Re-deploy equipment to other site owned by client nearby Results: Improved productivity at second site and reduced wastage costs with idle equipment

Reduce timeframe of project scope at tender

Issue: Upon review of project scope, our team could see a way to produce the project in a quicker timeframe Solution: Advise client of potential cost saving (before tender closed) Results: Multi-million dollar saving to project. Project re-scoped and tender re-issued to all parties

Improving extraction rate & productivity

Issue:  Time taken to clean carry back under conveyor Solution: Attach screed to front of Integrated Tool Carrier & stockpile to return to ore stream instead of grading into roadway Results:  Process time reduction & quality carry back containing gold and copper added back to ore stream
