Dismantling of Impeller / Fan Shaft

Remove all thermometer connections Dismount labyrinth seal assemblies Remove fasteners in horizontal and vertical flange joints of upper quadrant of the spiral casing Pull and slide out the quadrant and remove Disconnect all oil lines, temperature connections and vibration pick up from the bearing housing Seal the oil line opening suitably so that dirt goes inside them Dismantled the bearing housing end cover and top cover at both drive end and non drive end Lift the Rotor along with the bearings and position on rotor transport stand with due care The Bearing can now be dismantled from the shaft using suitable puller

The Impeller can be separated from the shaft by removing the conical cover plat and the shaft flange to impeller connecting bolts

REASSEMBLY
Reassemble the fan in reverse order ensuring the following Shaft Surface finish and dimensions at bearing seating area, Impeller and coupling area Perfect seating of the impeller with shaft flange and conical plate with impeller Shaft surface finish and dimensions at bearing sitting area, Impeller and coupling area Tightness of all fasteners Condition of the bearing and bearing clearance and face out Shaft level and impeller clearances Fan Motor alignment and coupling gap Clean the equipment and work area Surrender the PTW

QUALITY All the parameters, activities are maintained within prescribed limit. Any deviation from the norm is recorded and corrective action is taken accordingly.

ENVIRONMENT OHSAS Ensure PPE, Helmet, adequate lighting near the work place. Ensure the lifting tools are in adequate condition. Ensure proper earthing of the equipment / area of work as the case may be. Ensure healthiness & safety of the entire activities with respect to electrical system. Not applicable.
