Design Project GE-111 Computer Aided Engineering Design

Your aim is to design a Printed Circuit Board using OrCAD suite. Your design must comply with the professional and industrial standards which are taught in class. Students may work in a project team having no more than 02 students in a group Selection of Project: From the list of electronic schematics, you will have to choose one schematic for your PCB design

Submission of Project Proposal: (Deadline: before 1st Hourly) A students group must submit a formal project proposal having names and ids of the group members along with the selected electronic schematic. You will have to submit the project proposal in hard-copy form in person to the class teacher.

Submission of Project: You will have to present your project within the dates mentioned below according to your class id. Your project must have all the deliverables mentioned in this document.

Project Specifications:
Design a complete circuit schematic on OrCAD Capture. Your design should comply with the design rules as taught in class. You may use Net Alias and buses if required to make your schematic clearer and well detailed. Each component must have proper value or model number along with part reference Design a Printed Circuit Board on OrCAD Layout. Your PCB design must have complete details of all the layers you have developed. Your PCB layout design should be optimized for the board area utilization. Footprints for the components used must be on exact dimensions.

Assessment:
Project weighs 10% of the total course marks. Assessment will be based upon individual viva. 50% of the project marks are of viva. Rest 50% marks decide how accurate you have made your design.
