Toaccesstheaccountsettingspage,selectthedownarrowlocatednexttotheAccountoptionin thetopnavigation.Inthedropdownmenu,selecttheSettingsoption. Turnonemailortext messagenotifications. Yourstudentsalsohavetheseoptions.Pleasediscussthiswithyourstudent,especiallyifhe/she choosestoreceivetextmessagenotificationsandtheyareonalimitedtextmessagingplan. NotificationTypes AlertsThesearebriefmessages(140charactersorless)sentbytheteacher.Parentswillonlyhave accesstoAlertswhentheteacherexplicitlyincludestheparentgroupwhenpostingtheAlert.These weredesignedandintendedforSMStextmessages. NotesThesearemessagesofanylengthsentbytheteacher.Notesmayincludeattachmentssuchas projectinstructions,rubrics,reviewworksheets,etc.Teachersmayalsoincludelinkstovarious resourceswithinanote.ParentswillonlyhaveaccesstoNoteswhentheteacherexplicitlyincludes theparentgroupwhenpostingtheNote. AssignmentsTheseareassignmentsthattheteacherhasassignedwithintheEdmodosystemand requirethestudenttosubmitafileortextresponseelectronically(paperless).Parentsautomatically areincludedanytimeanEdmodoassignmentisgiven.Youmaychoosetobenotifiedbyemailortext messagebycheckingthisoption.
