Eligibility :(i)Nationality:- only Indian national would be eligible to apply. (ii)Educational Qualification:- The applicant must possess, as on 24.05.2013 the last date of receiving applications, the educationl qualifications in any of the following disciplines from a recognized Institute/University :a) Three Years Engineering Diploma in i. Telecom. Engineering ii. Electronic Engineering iii. Electrical Engineering iv. Radio Engineering v. Computer Engineering vi. Instrument Technology

vii. Information Technology b) M.Sc. (Electronic) from any Recognize Institution/University. Note: a) There is no equivalence provided. b) Candidates possessing higher qualification in the eligible stream are allowed to appear in the examination. c) Candidates possessing three-year Diploma certificates are eligible to appear in the Exam irrespective of percentage of marks obtained by them. d) The candidate must have completed the requisite qualification by closing date of application and he/she should submit diploma/degree/provisional diploma/degree certificate showing that he/she has completed the requisite qualification (along with total marks) by closing date of application. 4. Age Limit for direct recruit:(a) The applicant should be between 18 to 27 years of age. (b) However, this age is relaxable for following categories of applications. (i) For Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes up to 5 years (ii) For OBC Candidates up to 3 years; (iii) For PH Candidates up to 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC) (iv) For departmental candidates - up to 40 years in respect of general candidates. - Up to 45 years in respect of SC/ST candidates in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government. - Up to 43 years in respect of OBC candidates. (v) For Residents of J&K Relaxation shall be in accordance with DO P&T O.M. No. 15012/7/1991-Estt.(D) dtd. 6.12.2005 pertaining to Residents of State of Jammu and Kashmir (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit for Recruitment to Central Civil Services & Posts) Rules 1997. (c) The crucial date for calculating the age limit shall be the closing date of receipt of the applications from the candidates. Fee for examination and application form :a. The specimen of the application form is included in this advertisement. Neatly typed (only on one side of paper) copy in A4 size may be used for making application. The completed application form should be sent by Registered post to the SSA concerned. The envelope containing application form should be marked Application for TTA Examination 2012 in bold letters on top of the envelope. b. An examination fee of Rs. 500/- is payable in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Account Officer ( Cash) of concern SSA as given in Annexure A c. No.fee for the applicants of SC & ST categories. d. Exemption from payment of examination fees is also available to only those handicapped persons who would otherwise be eligible for appointment to the post on the basis of the standards of medical fitness prescribed for that post and who enclose with the application form, necessary certificate from a Government Hospital/Medical Board in support of his/her claim for being handicapped.

e. Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

(b)The scheme for DR TTA prescribes for one paper of 200 marks having objective multiple-choice pattern, as such, the total number of questions in the paper should be 200 and each question shall carry one mark. (c)The standard of paper in General Ability test will be such as may be expected of an Engineering Diploma holder. The standard of papers in other subject will approximately be that of Diploma level of an Indian Polytechnic. In the Specialization Part- III, a candidate has to attempt a common set of questions from the consolidated Syllabus prescribed under Specialization Part- III. (d) Syllabus enclosed.

Minimum qualifying standards:(a) Minimum qualifying marks in the paper will be 40% for the general category (OC) and 33% for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PH categories .The question paper comprise of these part of 20,90 and 90each ,as prescribed in the scheme and syllabus. There will be a single paper of 200 marks and question shall carry one mark. (b)The minimum qualifying marks in each of the three parts of Question paper will be 30% for OC and 20% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH categories i.e the minimum passing marks in each of the 3 parts in respect of OC will be 6,27and 27 respectively whereas in respect of OBC/SC/ST, it will be 4,18 and 18 respectively. (c) Further relaxation of 2% in marks will be given to the physically Handicapped candidates in each category viz OC-PH, OBC-PH,SC-PH and ST-PH. (d)There will be negative marking for each wrong one, 25% of marks of that question shall be deducted Candidates obtain less than minimum qualifying marks in any of the sections or in aggregate shall not be considered for inclusion in the merit list. The merit list will be drawn up depending on the vacancies. The appearance of the name in the merit list does not confer any right to the candidate for employment. A final call letter /appointment letter will be issued to the candidates after completion of other formalities.

Probation Period-2 years Bond and TrainingSelected candidates have to sign a 2 years bond in favour of BSNL and the candidate must undergo the prescribed Training. During the training period they will get stipend as per rule. The appointment and posting will be subject to successful completion of Training. The selected candidate will required to undergo a Medical Test before sending them on TTAs training. Jurisdiction:- Normally selected candidates will be posted at the same SSA but under special circumstances they will be posted anywhere in Chhattisgarh or anywhere in India under territorial/army act 1948 (58/1948). Admit Card:- Admission Card will be issued to eligible applicants by the office of the SSA concerned. The examination centre will be the SSA H.Q. city of the SSA concerned as given in Annexure A

Closing date for receipt of Application Forms:Application form completed in every respect must reach on or before 24/05/2013 application received after the closing date or not accompanied by the Demand Draft (where applicable) for the prescribed examination fee or incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected and no communication in respect of the rejected application forms shall be entertained. Fees paid shall also NOT be refunded. BSNL shall not be

responsible for any postal delay. The applicants would be admitted to the examination on the basis of the information furnished by them in their application form. They are, therefore ,advised to ensure that they fulfill all eligibility condition before applying .In case it is found at a later stage that the information furnished by an applicant is false or an applicant does not fulfill any of the eligibility condition the candidature of such applicants would be cancelled and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained. Issuance of an admit card for the examination will NOT confer any right for appointment. Appointment will be solely subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions. 15. Essential Instructions for candidates:-

A) Neatly typed application in A4 size paper as per format duly filled in and signed in by the candidate should be sent to SSA concerned. B) Four latest identical passport size photographs out of which two should be pasted in the space provided on the application form and the other two attached to the application (not to be pasted or attested). C) The application must be reached to concerned SSA up to 24/05/2013. Such applications rejected which to be received after prescribed date or not enclosed with appropriate fees or photo and photocopy of mark sheet. Once fees paid, will not be refunded in any circumstances. D) Such candidates, who are already in Govt. service, will send their own application through their office. E) Two envelopes contained self-address and without stamp must be attached with application. F) All photocopies of certificates/ marks lists attached to be attested by gazzetted officer. . 16. Travelling Allowance to SC/ST Candidates: The applicants belonging to SC/ST categories will be entitled to T.A. 17. Disqualification: - Any person, a. Who has entered into a contractual marriage with a person having a spouse living, OR b. Who has a living spouse has entered into or contractual marriage with any person. In both the cases the candidate will be disqualified for appointment. Note:-(a) There is no restriction of residence or essential of registration with the employment exchange in the particular SSA in which the applicant may apply. The notification, however, should clearly state that it would be preferable if the applicant has registration in the employment exchange of the SSA concerned in which the applicant applied. However in case two or more successful candidates show equal performance in the test and have same qualification, experience, date of birth etc., preference may be given to those candidates who have registered their names in the Employment Exchange of the concerned SSA in which they have applied. (b)An applicant is allowed to appear for examination against the vacancy of one SSA only.

SCHEME & SYLLABUS FOR TTA DIRECT RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION STANDARD AND SYLLABUS The standard of paper in General ability test will be such as may be expected of an engineering diploma holder. The standard of papers in other subjects will approximately be that of Diploma level on an Indian polytechnic. There shall be a single multiple choice objective type Paper of 3 hrs. duration as per details given below; PAPER Part I SUBJECT General Ability Test MARKS 20 TIME ALLOWED

3 hours Part II Basic Engineering 90 Part III Specialization 90 Note: The candidate is required to obtain minimum qualifying marks in each of these parts as may be prescribed by the BSNL. DETAILED SYLLABUS Part I : General ability test : 20 Marks The candidates comprehension and understanding of General English shall be tested thorough simple exercises such as provision of antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks and multiple choice exercise etc. This shall also include questions on current events., general knowledge and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of Diploma holder. Part II: Basic Engineering : 90 Marks Detailed syllabus is as under: 1. Applied Mathematics : Co-ordinate Geometry; Vector Algebra; Matrix and Determinates; Deferential Calculus; Integral Calculus; Differential equation of second order; Fourier Series; Laplace Transform; Complex Number; Partial Differentiation. Applied Physics : Measurement-Units and Dimensions; Waves, Acoustics, Ultrasonic; light; Laser and its applications, Atomic Structure and Energy Levels. Basic Electricity : Electrostatics, Coulombs law, Electric field, Gausss theorem, Concept of potential differences, concept of capacitance an capacitors, Ohms law, power and energy kirchoffs voltage, current laws and their applications in simple DC circuits , Basic Magnetism, Electro Magnetism, Electromagnetic induction, concept of alternating voltage & current Cells and Batteries, Voltage and Current Sources, Thevenins theorem ,Nortons theorem and their applications. Electronics Devices and Circuits : Classification of materials into conductor, semi conductor insulator etc. electrical properties, magnetic materials various types of relays, switches and connectors conventional representation of electric and electronic circuit elements. Active and passive components semi conductor Physics, Semiconductor Diode, Bipolar Transistor & Their circuits. Transistor Biasing and Stabilization of operating point, single stage transistor amplifier field effect transistor, Mosfet circuits applications.

Part III Specialization 90 Marks Detailed syllabus is as under :1 . Electrical : 3 Phase vs, single-phase supply, Star Delta connections, relation between phase & line voltage power factor and their measurements; Construction and principles of working of various types of electrical measuring instruments. All types of motor and generator AC & DC transformers, starters, rectifiers, inverters battery charges, batteries, servo and stepper motors, contactor control circuits, switchgear, relays, protection devices and schemes, substation, protective relaying, circuit breaker, generator protection transformer protection feeder and lightening protection, feeder & bus bar protection, lightening arrestor, earthing, voltage stabilizer & regulators, power control devices & circuits, phase controlled rectifiers, inverters, choppers dual converters, cycloconverters; power electronics application in control of drivers, refrigeration & air-conditioning. 2. Communication : Modulation and demodulation - Principles and operation of various types of AM, FM and PM modulators/demodulators. Pulse modulation TDM, PAM, PPM, PWM, Multiplexing. Principles and applications of PCM. Introduction of Basic block diagram of digital and data communication systems, Coding error detection and correction techniques; Digital Modulation Techniques - ASK, IGW, FSK, PSK, Characteristics/ working of data transmission circuits, UART,USART; Modem; Protocols an their functions, brief idea of ISDN interfaces, Local Area Network; Carrier Telephony - Features of carrier telephone system. Microwave Engineering; Microwave Devices; Wave guides; Microwave Components; Microwave antennas; Microwave Communication Systems - Block diagram & Working principles of microwave communication link. 3. Network Filters and Transmission Lines: Two port network; Attenuations; Filters; Transmission Lines and their applications; characteristic impedance of Line, concept of reflection and standing waves on a transmission lines, Transmission line equation, Principle of Impedance matching Bandwidth consideration of a transmission line.

Control Systems: Basic elements of control system, open and closed loop system, concept of feedback. Block diagram of control system. Time lag, hysterisis, linearity concepts, self - regulating and non - self regulating control systems. Transfer function of simple control components, single feedback configuration. Time response of system. Stability Analysis-Characteristic equation, Rouths table Nyquist criterion. Relative stability. Phase margin and gain margin. Routh Hurwitz criterion, root locus technique Bode plot, Power plot, Gain Margin and phase margin. 6. Microprocessors : Typical organization of a microcomputer system & functions of its various blocks: Architecture of a Microprocessor: Memories and I/O Interfacing. Brief idea of M/C & assembly language, Machines & Mnemonic codes: Instruction, format and Addressing mode; concept of Instruction set; programming exercises in assembly language, concept of interrupt; Data transfer techniques - sync data transfer, interrupt driven data transfer. DMA, serial output data, serial input data . 7.
