4) USAGES To be used in Jeans and other light weight materials. Note: Any usage different in materials mentioned here, will be responsibility of the customer. 5) IMPORTANT ASPECTS Should it be necessary to cut the extension of the tape (tail), it should be cut in a perpendicular or picket way, and sewed to the garment to protect the cut, and avoid the tape to ravel. The sewing should be made 4 millimeters away from the elements, and always make a second sewing near the border of the tape. In Pants, the cram should be made 2 cms, before the end of the zipper, in order to protect it and avoid laceration, either by the bottom stop, the element, or to avoid the opening of the mouth of the slider. When the zipper will run over bulky or overlapping sewing, the sewing should be 2 mm. more, away from the elements, (total, 6mm. away), in order to avoid damaging the cloth or the zipper If you need to reduce a zipper because of measure, or adapting to a design, you should always cut it from the upper part. By no means you should cut the selvage (outside border) of the tape, because it is to fasten a stitch at end of the ribbon.

DYEING AND LAUNDERING PROCESSES In zippers with Old Brass Finish, it is recommended in all processes the use of a metal protector (a chemical product that protects the metal part of the zipper, so that it will not react with other chemical auxiliaries, in the midst of a watery processes, to avoid damaging of the finish. In the dyeing process, when pre-bleaching, bleaching and raw, have in mind the balance between the chemical auxiliaries in order to avoid reprocessing. It is also recommended to work with a pH 10, and in order to ensure the reaction at the end of the processes use a peroxide eliminator In the laundering and dyeing processes when it is needed to neutralize after the dyeing, it is recommended to wash and over flow, instead of using acetic acid, which could affect the appearance of the finish

REVIEWED APROVED QUALITY PROCESS Page 4 of 5 #1 APRIL 10 2013 MANAGEMENT When bleaching the indigo blue, through chemical auxiliaries, try to avoid reprocessing with these chemical auxiliaries, since this could affect the resistance of the filaments of the garment as well as of the zipper. The metal parts may change the appearance of the finish. In the dyeing process, when working with a spongy domestic or home made material, it should avoid contact with chemical auxiliaries, since they are strong oxidation reducer that could affect the zipper. The excessive or inadequate use of chemical products such as hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite, acid enzymes and acetic acid, could cause reactions on the metal of the zippers deteriorating the material of the zipper and of the garments When using this zipper in the laundering and dyeing processes, it is recommended to use an equalizer with colloid protector characteristics, so that the dyeing of the garment and the ribbon should be uniform. The laundering and dyeing processes usually are done with temperatures between 30 C and 120 C. The zippers are able to support these temperatures, but a mis balance of the chemical auxiliaries could generate a change in the appearance of the zipper. This depends on the reaction that would generate the alkaline or acid environment where the cloth had been done. For every process to un gum garments either with caustic soda or enzymes that will be dyed, it is recommended to use a good metal protector, before the ungluing and before adding the colorants. For every type of dyeing, usually all conditions change. Therefore you should optimize and adjust the chemical auxiliaries to avoid inconvenient with the zipper. When dyeing the garments, you should bear in mind the composition of the materials of the garment, and of the zipper, in order to use dyeing colorants related to both filaments. In the different processes bear in mind the different shrinkages between the filaments of the materials of the garment and of the zipper, in order to avoid wrinkle in the cloth. In all the laundering and dyeing processes it is recommended to centrifuge and dry the garment the fastest possible, in order to avoid oxide stains and residual effects on the metal parts of the zipper. Recommend the dyeing plant personnel to balance the load, in order to avoid the mechanical force that would damage the zipper or the slider. Also see to it, that the slider should not be exposed to too much stress.

REVIEWED APROVED QUALITY PROCESS Page 5 of 5 #1 APRIL 10 2013 MANAGEMENT During the industrial processes some elements might get lost, such as pull-tabs sliders, elements (teethes) of the zipper etc. These situations occur when the garments mess up, or obstruct of the elements in the groove of the rotary drum of the machines, or exposed to the friction or strokes produced inside the drum. In order to avoid this situations, the zipper should be completely closed and fix the pulltab to avoid its loosening. In the dyeing process that should be chosen for the garments where zippers are used you should have in mind the recommendations of the technical adviser, and the dyeing plant personnel, should be conscience of the process to be done, and realize the reactions or inconveniences that could come up, and the consequences of the chemical products to be used. when new fashion processes are done, with different chemical, it is recommended to realize different trials to find out how will the zipper behave When processing spongy or home-made materials, which will be ironed, in order not to damage de garment, the zipper should not remain inside the garment, nor should the zipper remain open, in order to protect the elements (teethes) of the zipper. The same if it is done with a steam press. As a general recommendation for the dying plants, try not to realize re-processing, because it increases he quantities of chemical auxiliaries that affect the zipper and the garment If our product will be used by a third party, please handle him all of this information and recommendations. It is recommended to store our zippers in the original packing, avoiding exposure. Any questions or claims, please send them to our Marketing Manager and enclose the identification label, the dyeing process that the garment was submitted, in order to accelerate your answer.
