At ICI Paints, were dedicated to preserving the environment. Weve proudly supported the development of green product innovations and sustainability for decades. In fact, we were the first in the industry to develop water-based latex paints and zero VOC paints. We are committed to developing products with environmental benefits, and improve the environmental footprint of our products throughout their life cycle. We conduct all of our operations with respect to the environment, seeking to drive down the impact by reducing manufacturing energy and water consumption and waste output to air, water, and land.

ICI Paints forward vision introduced the first No VOC interior paint with the original Lifemaster 2000 in 1991.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED provides a rating system based on accepted energy and environmental principles, and they strike a balance between established practices and emerging concepts. Commercial Architects and Designers are developing LEED certified commercial projects requiring LEED compliant products to be used on the project. As a result, we have made the job of selection of our LEED compliant products easier by developing this LEED Compliant Product Guide. The guide will be updated as product guidelines change or new products are added. LEED guidelines for architectural paints, coatings and primers applied to the interior walls and ceilings must not exceed VOC content limits established in Green Seal Standard GS-11.
