Vidyaratha Kissoon and Colonial Homophobia: Tired Arguments Dear Editor, I refer to the letter by Vidyaratha Kissoon captioned

Colonial Homophobia (SN 4 4 13) and would appreciate the opportunity to comment. Kissoons vapid treatment of Gaiutra Bahadurs fishing expedition is as mesmerizingly blas as it is insufficient! We are again faced with the necessary task of bring focus, fact, truth, detail and evidence to the ongoing debate. An immediate example would be to point out the inherent violence and brutality that characterizes same-sex activity as graphically characterized in the excerpt Hiding Dirty Laundry at page 21 of 45 in The Case Against Pancap and the Decriminalization of Homosexuality (http://www.scribd.com/doc/17685588/The-Case-Against-PANCAP-and-the-Decriminalization-ofHomosexuality ). It appears from the above that what Kissoon calls homophobia the CDC and the US Police Force calls very necessary medical and scientific awareness. Kissoon's rather strange premise that a negative reaction to homosexuality stems from "colonial prejudice"! The Special Select Committee should now have no doubt that there is a politics to the gay-rights agenda and it is characterized by deception and misinformation on an epic scale. Consider the online response/comment by Worried1 as he/she responds to an unbelievable feat of deliberate omission by Kissoon as he recounts Gaiutras research. So yet again, we had pointed the Special Select Committee, in 2013, to a very lucid presentation by Dr. Charles Socarides on the factual details of a "gay rights" hoax of stupendous proportions in the online article "Sexual Politics and Scientific Logic: The Issue of Homosexuality" ( http://www.kidhistory.org/homopolo.html ) . As hard as it may be to digest, an entire rights effort has been built on denial and avoidance of medical fact, truth, investigation, detail and evidence.. Gaiutra Bahadur will not research Dr. Socarides article anytime soon! Dr. Jeffrey Satinover at Table 7 in his acclaimed book "Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth" points to 15 different outcome studies that have shown measurable and extensive success in the treatment of persons affected with same-sex-attraction-disorders, but Gaiutra Bahadur will not research these anytime soon, nor will she assess what the "Surgeon General" (as distinct from the "Surgeon Superintendent" on Gaiutras fishing boat) has offered on the issue in the online article "The Case Against PANCAP and the Decriminalization of Homosexuality " (http://www.scribd.com/doc/17685588/The-Case-Against-PANCAP-and-the-Decriminalization-ofHomosexuality ). Perhaps what REALLY matters are the facts ... and truth, detail and evidence that relates to the "modern age" rather than Kissoon's "colonial" obsession and his hapless regurgitation of such trivia! What, exactly, does Kissoon or Bahadur disagree with in the online article written by a Registered Nurse "Why Isn't Homosexuality Considered A Disorder on the Basis of its Medical Consequences?" (http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/archive//ldn/2006/nov/061130a ). It is a sad fact that neither Vidyaratha Kissoon nor Gaiutra Bahadur will address the facts, truths, detail or evidence therein. But how do we explain this blas disposition to fool some of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time ? Dr. Satinover at page 27 of his aforementioned book "Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth" in discussions with persons of the same obsession as Kissoon and Bahadur, is forced to come to the following sobering conclusion that they are: "... are possessed of a denial so intense that selfexamination is completely precluded". A raging and unfathomable delusion in the "gay-rights" movement ignores fact, truth, detail, evidence and ...science!

Now the concept of "transsexualism" advocates chopping off body parts and replacing them with others of a different sex. That's only one reason why the soundest possible way forward for the Guyana government is to focus on medical/psychiatric therapy rather than legislating the conditionof psycho-sexual disorder into acceptance. In the online article "Surgical Sex",( http://www.firstthings.com/article/2009/02/surgical-sex--35 ) Dr. Paul McHugh, distinguished service Professor in Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, is forced to come to the inescapable conclusion: "We have wasted scientific and technical resources and damaged our professional credibility by collaborating with madness rather than trying to study, cure, and ultimately prevent it".
