ELECTRONIC FUNDAMENTAL

ASSIGNMENT PART 2 AND PART 4

2 AVIONIC 3 PREPARED BY : MUHAMMAD FARHAN BIN MAUSEK 53158208454

PREPARED FOR : MEJAR (B) IR ABU BAKAR B. SAUD

Objectives 1) To find experience project in subject electronic fundamental which is major in avionic maintenance course. 2) cultivate the student in electronic fundamental subject 3) Give acquaintance to student about reading and work on based to the schematic diagram. 4) To implement the skills in terms readings the value of resistor and capasitor and also in using a solder bit iron.

Project Name Electronic Siren Kit

Project Characteristics I. Power Supply: 9V Battery or 9V Adapter

II. Operating Current: 150 200 m A at Vs = 9V

Diagram

Wiring Diagram

SOLDERING EQUIPMENTS.

Refer to the schematic diagram:

o Basically, the circuit is consists of 2 low frequency oscillators (OSC). o OSC 1: Comprising Q1 & Q2 charges and discharges C4 periodically at an interval of 0.51 sec. That is voltage drops rapidly and rises slowly repeatedly. o Voltage of C4 is used to bias Q3 and Q4 which form in OSC 2. o OSC 2 does not generate a fixed tone but rather a warbling tone that resembles the siren sound of security alarm system. o The function of Q5 is for driving a small dynamic speaker which produces the sound.

R8. 8.2 K R10... 2.2 K

2. Capasitor C2, C3... 0.1

3. Electrolytic capacitors C1, C4... 100

4. Transistors Q1. PNP transistor Q2,Q3,Q4,Q5... NPN transistor

5. Speaker Dynamic Loud Speaker (4 or 8 ohm)

6. Miscellaneous items Etched & drilled PCB, Switch, 9 V battery clip.

COURSE OF ACTION IN THIS ASSINGNMENTS :

a) The printed overlay shows where to place the components.

b) Use some wire to connect the switch and the speaker to the pads on the printed circuit board (PCB) according to your desire.

c) Make sure the connection between the electrolytic capacitor , transistor and diodes in the correct way.

d) Use longnose plier when to solder each of component for heat sink way.

e) Clean the solder tip use the sponge.

f) Clean each of all components leg and the board to prevent oxidation.

g) Solder first before cutting the components leg.

h) Use 2 second method when soldering process for good soldering.

i) Check all solder joints carefully under a good light.

j) Make sure an iron solder bit is enough high temperature before install the component.

Conclusion Lastly, after accomplished installation of components, the sound of loudspeaker can be heard by connect it to the 9 V supply.
