Paul de Paula is a native of Iloilo, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in software engineering at Central Philippine University. He is a student leader, campaign manager and a public speaker since he was in high school. He started joining Free Open Source Software (FOSS) advocacy since 2007, he was also one of the organizers in the first ever Joomla Day Philippines 2008 at UP Diliman. In 2008 he works with abscbnnews.com as lead developer, its now the no. 1 news online in the Philippines. He is currently working with New Amsterdam Ideas as the Senior Developer; he works mainly in Drupal module and theming development, Server Infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS to power some Drupal sites in the state of New York and Chicago.

Lurena, from her CICM nuns education, moved to the University of the Philippines to pursue BS Food Technology. Accordingly, her years in UP gave her the out of the box perspective. Her many interests from Hotel to Fashion operations brought her to different career paths finally opting as a Consultant given her years of overseas work in Communications, Project Management, and Business Development. Her shift to the IT industry in 2006 as a Marketing Specialist for Technical accounts gave her niche in the IT industry. As Head of the Corporate Affairs and Strategic Planning Division of ISSI Philippines, she has helped develop the 1 stop IT Business Center for the general consumers and corporate clients. That is the Data Recovery Center. Moving this concept across the key cities in the Philippines, Lurena believes will open new opportunities to IT graduates and IT professionals who have been displaced when the economic weather did not augur an IT career.

He was one of the 2 people that designed the game play systems for the game Bangu Bang Mania, a multiplayer online customizable robot fighting game. He has interest in player psychology and market based design methodologies. He is a person with an amicable, altruistic and easy going behavior.

She is currently the Training Director for the Philippines National IT Standards Foundation, Inc. As part of her work, she develops and trains human resource for all the latest technological requirements including leveling them with internationally recognized IT certifications. She does IT consulting for IT security, network infrastructure, technology integration, technology education and IT systems implementation. She spoke about e-learning in the 1st National Convention for E-Learning and in the National Convention for I.T. Educators. To date, she is part of e-learning systems of reputable universities and continues to maintain them. Mrs. Marcelo obtained her degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering at the University of Santo Tomas. She completed a Teacher Certificate Program at the De La Salle University and finished her M.S. in Information Management at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Bryan is a freelance software engineer with 8 years of experience in Web Development in both enterprise and nonenterprise applications. Currently, he is the VP for Technology of Developers Connect Philippines and an active evangelist for the Philippine Ruby Users Group. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, graduating magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman. This year, he has won 1st place in LobangClub Webgeek Developer Challenge, won Best in Game Category for IRRI/Smart Bigas Hackathon, and was part of the winning startup at Startup Weekend Cebu 2. His main focus, as of the moment, is teaching the masses about modern software development. He has 2 pet projects, Rails 3.0: A Student Manual and Pangkaraniwang Developer, which are both free online resources for learning programming.
