Vedanta Aluminium Limited (VAL)

Vedanta Aluminium Ltd., is an associate company of Vedanta Resources Plc. VAL has installed a 0.5 MTPA Aluminum Smelter and 1215 MW captive power plant at Jharsuguda, Orissa. Also as part of an expansion project they are in the process of installing a 1.1 MTPA Aluminum Smelter. The company intends to set up a fully integrated Aluminum Smelting capacity of around 2.6 MTPA in near future. Another group company Sterlite Energy Ltd is setting up a 2400 MW Independent Power Plant at Jharsuguda. We visited VAL IPP plant 1 in connection with their requirement of pneumatic conveying system for PET Coke. We discussed the technical aspects and inspected the proposed route of the conveying pipes and noted the total horizontal and vertical lengths of conveying pipes to be installed. They also communicated that our Technical Offer which was submitted earlier was acceptable to them.

The Project is currently under hold due to a funds crunch and is likely to be finalized in July-Aug 2013.
VAL wants RIECO to undertake the complete project on turnkey basis (i.e., including Civil works and Erection and Commissioning of the system).

It is a 2.3 MTPA Integrated Steel and Power Plant in Orrisa having 8 DRI Kilns of 500 TPD, 376 MW Power Plant, Coal Washery, two CSP Plant, Blast Furnace, Coke Oven Plant, Sinter Plant, Oxygen Plant, Steel Making and Lime & Dolomite Plant, Cold Rolling Mill. Currently they require a Nuisance Bag Filter for their Coal Washery unit for which we have submitted our offer

Action to be taken As per Mr Gupta the bag filter order has been closed in last month. No other requirement in APC and PHS currently. We have to remain in constant touch with them for their subsequent requirements.

TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited (formerly Tata Refractories Limited) is a leading refractory manufacturer in India. Products like Basic, Dolomite, High Alumina, Monolithics & Silica Refractories with a consolidated installed capacity of 0.3 MTPA . The main Works is located at Belpahar, Odisha. We enquired about current and upcoming projects. They are very familiar with RIECO. We have supplied a number of bag filters and complete dedusting systems to them a few years ago. We also discussed about the money (a/c. last order). MCL supplies all types of coal. Material Handling is by belt conveyors and the fugitive dust emission are handled by Nuisance Bag Filters. Currently they do not have any requirement. We met the persons mentioned below and handed over our Company Profile and Product Literatures. They assured us that they shall send RFQs whenever they have a requirement of any of our products. ACTION ISPAT LIMITED. Jharsuguda, Odisha.

AIPPL has a DRI plant with commissioned capacity of 0.25 MTPA, a SMS with commissioned capacity of 0.2 MTPA. They also have a 37MW Captive power plant. Action Ispat is setting up a 0.8 MTPA Integrated Steel plant at Jharsuguda, Orissa. We met the persons mentioned below and handed over our Company Profile and Product Literatures. They assured us that they shall send RFQs whenever they have a requirement of any of our products. Mr. Keshari informed us that currently they are using ESPs installed by Thermax and Bag Filters supplied by various parties including Welltech and Envirocare. He enquired about spares for the existing bag filter and we offered to supply them if they match with our standard spare list.
