Did you know that every 33 seconds, an American dies of heart disease and that
heart disease is more likely to kill you than cancer, respiratory diseases, or car
accidents.
And, counter to popular opinion, heart attacks kill even more women than men.
To take a proactive approach to your own heart health, it’s important to retain
normalcholesterol levels.
The National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association say that half of
all American adults may have elevated cholesterol (200mg/dL or higher).1 which
doubles the risk of heart disease. The best way to maintain heart health is to take a
proactive approach by eating a heart-healthy diet, exercising on a regular basis, and
retaining normal cholesterol levels.

Cholesterol Regulation Complex provides a safe, natural way to promote

cardiovascular health.*
■ Helps retain normal cholesterol levels*
■ Increases HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels by up to 37% within three months*
■ May help prevent LDL (“bad”) cholesterol oxidation*
■ Helps inhibit absorption of dietary cholesterol*
■ Does not interrupt production of coenzyme Q10, a nutrient that provides strength
and energy to the heart*

So you might be wondering what makes this work so effectively??

Here's where Shaklee scientist go to work~ they found hydrolyzed Soy Protein Blend
provides specially processed phytopeptides with bound phospholipids to inhibit the
absorption of cholesterol in the intestinal tract, therby helping to retain normal
cholesterol levels.

Now N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a plant-derived antioxidant, contributes the amino

acid I-cysteine, which is involved in the body’s production of the powerful
antioxidant glutathione. Scientific evidence suggests NAC may help prevent the
oxidation of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol.*
*
■ Several studies have shown that phytopeptides with bound phospholipids from
soy help retain normal cholesterol levels by inhibiting the absorption of dietary
cholesterol
■ Phytopeptides with bound phospholipids from soy have been shown to increase
HDL by 26% after two months and 37% within three months.4
■ N-acetylcysteine (NAC) has been shown to help neutralize free radicals and
protect against oxidation of LDL cholesterol.5,6,7

Cholesterol Goals Based on National Institutes of Health Recommendations

Total Cholesterol: Less than 200 mg/dL
LDL “Bad” Cholesterol: less than 130 mg/dL
HDL “Good” Cholesterol: 60 mg/dL or more

Side note: Everyone is most often concerned about lowering their cholesterol. So her's a twist. Cholesterol Regulation Complex
is clinically proven to increase HDL (“good”) cholesterol so naturally speaking if your good cholesterol is going up it will offset
your LDL and as a result your bad cholesterol will go down. So that's a win win!

HOW SHOULD CHOLESTEROL REGULATION COMPLEX* BE USED?

The recommended serving of Cholesterol is six tablets per day in divided doses.
These can be spaced to suit individual convenience. For example, take two each
with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or three with lunch and three with dinner.

Customer Satisfaction............
About 2 years ago my husband, Jeff, found he had high cholesterol at 239. Little did we know
that there was a far more serious problem. He began to watch his diet more carefully, walk 2
miles a day and he became very willing to take Shaklee supplements. However, June
19, 2003 he found his cholesterol had risen to 279. Six days later he had unexpected quadruple
by-pass surgery. The doctors were thrilled that he had had no heart attack and that they would
have a very healthy heart to do the surgery on. .Five days after surgery, he began using the
Cholesterol Regulation Complex as recommended. He made a few more diet changes--low salt,
no dairy products except for skim milk, less red meat, very limited amounts of butter and other
fats like mayonnaise, and eating larger amounts of fruits, veggies, fish and chicken. Four months
after surgery, my husband's cholesterol went from 279 to 172. The LDL (bad cholesterol) went
from 200 to 93! Needless to say, his doctor told him to keep doing whatever he is doing!!

My name is Sylvia and I'm 61 years old. I've always had a small build, 5' 1/2" (it says on my driver's
license), and between 95 - 100lbs. all my life. That is until I turned 50 and things started changing. I
thought I would always be small.

Well, between 50 and 61 my body chemistry changed drasticly. I felt tired with no energy, which is very
unlike me to feel bad. So I started taking Shaklee this past July. Slowly but surely, my energy returned
and I felt better. However, I had a complete blood profile done in October and my Cholesterol was 300. I
was shocked! My doctor wanted to put me on Lipitor and I told him I was going to take Shaklee
Cholesterol Regulation Complex. He said that was fine, I could try the natural way first.
Well, I had another blood work up after 30 days. The nurse called last week to report that my count had
decreased by 70 pts. to 230. Needless to say I was thrilled. But I have to be honest when I say, I knew in
my spirit the Shaklee product would work. Just like all the other Shaklee products I've been taking since
July of this year.

I'm jumping and jiveing! My daughter told my over the Thanksgiving holiday that my hair shined and I
look healthy! I feel very good for a "young" 61 year old grandmother.

I'm happy to be able to give you this email testimonial!

started using the cholesterol regulation complex for 4 months and I am ahppy to report that my
cholesterol dropped 55 points. Of course I also cleaned up my diet and I still could do better.

HEALTH BYTE................................

High Cholesterol and Stroke

Having adequate levels of HDL may be the most important lipid-related factor for preventing
ischemic stroke, a type of stroke caused by blockage of the carotid arteries that carry blood to the
brain. HDL may even reduce the risk for hemorrhagic stroke, a less common type of stroke
caused by bleeding in the brain that is associated with low overall cholesterol levels.
The build-up of plaque in the internal carotid artery may lead to narrowing and irregularity of the
artery's lumen, preventing proper blood flow to the brain. More commonly, as the narrowing
worsens, pieces of plaque in the internal carotid artery can break free, travel to the brain, and
block blood vessels that supply blood to the brain. This leads to stroke, with possible paralysis or
other deficits.
