BAHRIA UNIVERSITY KARACHI CAMPUS MBA/BBA COURSE OUTLINE ENTREPRENEURSHIP

SPRING-2013 INSTRUCTOR Aamir Firoz Shamsi

"Entrepreneurs are not 'born'.rather they 'become' through the experiences of their lives." Professor Albert Shapiro, Ohio State University Background: In a world where ideas drive economies, it is no wonder that innovation and entrepreneurship are often seen as inseparable bedfellows. The governments around the world are starting to realize that in order to sustain progress and improve a countrys economy, the people have to be encouraged and trained to think out-of-the-box and be constantly developing innovative products and services. The once feasible ways of doing business are no longer guarantees for future economic success! In response to this inevitable change much emphasis is being put on the need to train future entrepreneurs through infusing entrepreneurship components within the educational system. Course Objectives: To assist students/participants in understanding practical strategies for establishing, promoting the idea of entrepreneurship leading to a bright future possibility. And to encourage a more pragmatic style of leadership and management practice that works with and through staff to ensure successful transformation to entrepreneurial attributes like critical thinking, strategize and give way to creativity and innovation.
