Huge 8 Screen

Audiophile-grade Components A few years ago, Alpine released the AlpineF#1Status series of ultra-high performance audio components. Many of the lessons learned from developing those models, about high-grade parts and how to apply them, are now being put to good use in products like the PXA-H800. One example is the use of four Wolfson 24-Bit D/A converters, which are generally found only in professional recording systems and help to ensure superb detail and soundscape. Another is the use of two 32-Bit floating-point SHARC DSPs, which precisely reproduce the sound source with no degradation. Other top quality parts are a 6-layer PCB and a 24-Bit A/D converter for high quality RCA input and 114dB dynamic range at the device level. ImprintEQ with Post-Tuning Adjustment ImprintEQ is a hardware/software combination that can completely overcome the acoustical problems present in every vehicle interior. It optimises the sound stage, tonal balance and definition automatically, in just a few minutes. After the tuning is complete, you can manually tweak the settings if you desire. Time Correction and Digital Crossover Digital Time Correction lets you achieve optimum sound staging by ensuring that the sounds from all speakers reach your ears at the same time. Up to 8 channels can be corrected automatically or manually, from 0 to 20ms in 5ms steps. Digital high pass and low pass filters allow you to set slopes from 0 to 36, with gain from 24 to 0dB. You can customise your system with the exact frequency crossovers you want. Extensive EQ Capabilities The PXA-H800 provides both graphic and parametric equalisation. The graphic EQ provides 31 bands for each of the five channels, plus 10 bands for the subwoofer, with gain from 12 to +12dB. The parametric EQ lets you select a band and then adjust the output level and width for precise tuning. You get 10 bands for each of the five channels, plus 5 for the subwoofer, with detailed Q settings and gain from 12 to +12dB.

Powerful Woofer The REF woofer uses a cross-rib aluminium cone that is light and stiff for high efficiency with low distortion. The high grade neodymium magnet fits inside the voice coil so the speaker is more compact. The cast aluminium frame is rigid and tough and the heat transfer motor/frame coupling increases power handling under extreme conditions. Ring Dome Tweeter This tweeter combines the compact size of a dome tweeter with the high sound quality of a ring radiator tweeter. The 1 ring dome diaphragm has excellent dispersion characteristics. Its triple stack neodymium motor structure focuses magnetic flux in the voice coil gap. A cast aluminium tuned chamber with heat sink ensures cooling and extends frequency response. By using the Tweeter Bridge, the component speakers can be configured as coaxials (cannot use original grille). Reference-Grade Network Like the Audiophile-Grade version, this network also lets the user make tuning settings to achieve the optimum sound in any vehicle. In fact, it is very similar to the higher grade network, with just a few parts such as resistors being different. It is also bi-amping capable, allowing the use of two different amplifiers for the woofer and tweeter.

Aerospace Material Cone The Kevlar-Rohacell cone is made of lighter and stronger material than previous models, for less moving mass and greater efficiency. The underside uses a vented force transfer assembly for added strength, contributing to high SPL and fast, accurate response. High-Amplitude Multi Roll Surround In order to handle extra-high SPL, the suspension has to travel far and still maintain control. Most designs sacrifice cone area for a wide surround, or sound quality for a tall surround. The High-Amplitude Multi Roll Surround is formed from injection-moulded multi-roll Santoprene, enabling both a larger cone area for higher SPL and greater cone excursion for better sound quality. Large Strontium Magnet A specially designed, advanced motor structure and extra-large, triple-stacked strontium magnets ensure that these subwoofers are very efficient. In fact, strontium magnets are used in smaller speakers for their efficiency; using large strontium magnets in subwoofers results in extremely high performance. Easy-Access Terminals Simple jumpers with solid-insert, gold-plated terminals make it very easy to configure these subwoofers for series or parallel applications. Dual-woven tinsel leads with terminals on the same side can handle heavy gauge speaker wire.
Ring Radiator Tweeter Rather than vibrating a diaphragm the way conventional dome tweeters do, the 1.25 Ring Radiator tweeter has a linear movement. This contributes to low distortion and exceptionally smooth response with no harshness or brightness. A non-reflective cast aluminium tuned air chamber on the back of the tweeter increases SPL and dynamic response. Audiophile-Grade Network This compact, ultra-high quality network allows hundreds of possible tuning settings for optimum sound in any type of installation and vehicle. It optimises the performance of the speakers in any type of installation by minimising colouration and off-axis balance and correcting phase problems. It also allows bi-amping and fine tweeter level adjustment.

The component and coaxial Type-S speakers have been popular for many yearsand they keep getting better! For example, the latest models have a frame thats lighter and stronger, and they deliver higher efficiency. With stable, reliable performance, high power handling and easy installation, Type-S are a great choice for any vehicle.
Type-G Pushes Out Big Power

The Type-G Series of component and coaxial speakers are designed and built to handle high power levels. They also deliver good sound quality, due to a soft dome tweeter, square voice coil wire with Kapton bobbin and an audio tuned capacitor.
Silk Dome Tweeter The tweeter features a 1 soft silk dome diaphragm and a rigid aluminium bobbin, which deliver highly detailed sound up to 22kHz. The SPS-610C, SPS-610 and SPS-510 tweeters can be swiveled for best sound at the listening position.
Long Excursion Woofer for Strong Bass The shape and material of the cone and surround ensure that the woofers long excursion (vibration distance) delivers strong bass with no sound breakup. The voice coil is rigid and efficient, so the speaker performs well even with low-power amps.
