This very helpful book discusses all of the stereotypes that come with being overweight. It contains anecdotes from people who have been teased for their weight. This article by the American Heart Association talks about rising obesity levels in the United States. I was shocked at how many people in this country are overweight or obese. In the article, it discusses how people were still treated badly even after they lost the weight. This was shocking news for me and made me more aware of this growing issue of bias against overweight people. This was helpful for my speech.

This source discusses many of the stereotypes of being overweight and obese, and also details on the disadvantages overweight and obese individuals have in the real world. It really made me aware of what these people go through. I used facts from here in all of my products.

Before reading this source, I really had no idea why obesity was perceived negatively. This really made me aware of why exactly it is seen the way it is. It also contains some new facts about the people who are obese. This will be great to include on my home page and my Why page on my website.

This source contains first hand accounts from overweight and obese people and how they feel about weight stigma and bias. It also contains information and statistics about payment decreases when overweight. The video also discusses the importance of not judging these people. I really became aware of what these people feel. I used quotes in my products.
